A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Thought Leadership team helps our professionals deliver targeted thought leadership to our clients on relevant business topics. As part of the team, you'll support PwC with brand positioning, business marketing, and sales efforts through publications and speeches.


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in at least two of the following areas: digital transformation, emerging tech, risk and regulatory matters, deals, future of work, or future of industries. Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Competitive positioning of content (in various formats and channels) produced by professional services organizations and top tier media companies; and,
  • Key business issues facing clients today and thought leadership content development that relates to our firm's capabilities, brand positioning, and growth plans.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in project management of multiple and diverse editorial projects and day-to-day operations, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Conducting independent research, including conducting interviews, partnering with internal resources to develop a distinctive point of view on specific topics that impact the financial services industry;
  • Approaching projects with intellectual curiosity using an analytical and quantitative mindset;
  • Leveraging writing and editorial skills to translate complex concepts into easy to understand, engaging and compelling messaging, in various formats, for delivery in different digital channels;
  • Resolving issues independently while coordinating with leadership or subject matter specialists, when necessary;
  • Managing performance and development of staff through coaching, including developing and facilitating training for research analysts;
  • Coordinating the editorial consultations, development, and calendar within the firm across lines of services and sectors on the assigned issues or campaign, for cohesive messaging throughout the firm; -Using new tools to apply techniques in the development and delivery of content;
  • Facilitating ideation and editorial discussions with subject matter specialists and Marketing and Sales colleagues; and,
  • Tracking the firm's positioning in the assigned topic, area, industry, or domain, to aid in the development of differentiated content.

Practical Law US is looking for a Life Sciences Senior Legal Editor who may work remotely anywhere in the United States, and who will: * Develop, write, and edit know how content for the life sciences sector. (pharmaceuticals, biologicals and medical devices) and other life sciences content to be published on Practical Law's online services. * Establish and maintain relationships with external law firm and other contributors. * Develop relationships with law firm attorneys, in-house counsel, and industry groups to ensure that Practical Law's content is topical and meets attorneys' needs. * Assist sales team by participating in sales calls and demonstrating service from time to time. * Assist marketing team from time to time by participating in webinars and creation of educational programs. Qualifications * Minimum of eight years' experience working as a lawyer in a law firm, in-house, or in government with significant expertise in FDA and related regulatory, compliance, and/or litigation matters concerning the development and commercialization of life sciences products. * The ideal candidate will have significant expertise concerning: * Medical device development, commercialization, and compliance; * Life Sciences-related deals and acquisitions; * FDA enforcement activities and inspections; * Advertising, marketing, and promotion of FDA-regulated products; and * False Claims Act trends. * Experience and familiarity in the following areas also a plus: * Clinical trials; * Product approval pathways and various marketing exclusivities; * Good manufacturing practice; * Safety and pharmacovigilance; and * Fraud and abuse compliance. * Experience could have been gained as a regulatory lawyer or a lawyer providing regulatory expertise in support of life sciences litigation or transactions. * A good understanding of regulatory legislation and guidance development, with an ability to track and report on developments. * A good understanding of government investigations and litigation involving companies and regulators in the life sciences sector, including FTC and DOJ investigations against pharmaceutical companies. * A general understanding of non-regulatory legal practice areas highly relevant to the life sciences sectors and a willingness to work with other non-legal sector specific resources within Thomson Reuters to assist with developing cross-disciplinary offerings. * Experience with regulatory issues in non-US jurisdictions, including EU, helpful. * Enthusiasm and ambition, with a desire to improve the efficiency of legal services. * A good understanding of the needs and priorities of law firms, in-house counsel and the legal market. * A passion for writing and good editing skills, including: * very close attention to detail; * impressive command of grammar, punctuation and plain English; * strong technical drafting skills; and * the ability to write about complex legal issues clearly and simply.
