A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Thought Leadership team helps our professionals deliver targeted thought leadership to our clients on relevant business topics. As part of the team, you'll support PwC with brand positioning, business marketing, and sales efforts through publications and speeches.


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in at least two of the following areas: digital transformation, emerging tech, risk and regulatory matters, deals, future of work, or future of industries. Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Competitive positioning of content (in various formats and channels) produced by professional services organizations and top tier media companies; and,
  • Key business issues facing clients today and thought leadership content development that relates to our firm's capabilities, brand positioning, and growth plans.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in project management of multiple and diverse editorial projects and day-to-day operations, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Conducting independent research, including conducting interviews, partnering with internal resources to develop a distinctive point of view on specific topics that impact the financial services industry;
  • Approaching projects with intellectual curiosity using an analytical and quantitative mindset;
  • Leveraging writing and editorial skills to translate complex concepts into easy to understand, engaging and compelling messaging, in various formats, for delivery in different digital channels;
  • Resolving issues independently while coordinating with leadership or subject matter specialists, when necessary;
  • Managing performance and development of staff through coaching, including developing and facilitating training for research analysts;
  • Coordinating the editorial consultations, development, and calendar within the firm across lines of services and sectors on the assigned issues or campaign, for cohesive messaging throughout the firm; -Using new tools to apply techniques in the development and delivery of content;
  • Facilitating ideation and editorial discussions with subject matter specialists and Marketing and Sales colleagues; and,
  • Tracking the firm's positioning in the assigned topic, area, industry, or domain, to aid in the development of differentiated content.

This position is primarily focused on directing, coaching, developing, and evaluating. The Chief develops, administers, assesses and refines programs and policies to ensure a safe, secure educational, living and working environment. The Chief provides proactive leadership in the areas of threat assessment and emergency response planning. In addition, the Chief cultivates partnerships with local law enforcement agencies and performs related duties as required to meet organizational needs. * Directs and coordinates safety and protection programs to include traffic control, event staffing, patrolling of business property, and enforcement of state and federal statutes and policies and procedures. Responds to or oversees response to calls for service. * Recruits, trains, motivates, and evaluates department personnel to ensure that the department is staffed with highly competent guards. * Plans work schedules to ensure that all shifts are covered as necessary. * Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of department services and identifies opportunities for improvement. * Serves as liaison with external law enforcement agencies and maintains working relationships with other agencies. * Manages the Company Safety Department budget and directs the use of the physical resources of the department. * Recommends and implements the goals, objectives, policies and priorities for safety and security functions and programs. * Recommends selection, promotion, discharge, and other appropriate personnel actions. * Plans educational programs on personal safety and related matters for the security guards. * Participates in the development and implementation of emergency procedures for fires, earthquakes, bomb threats and other disasters. Conducts regular fire drills and other exercises to ensure preparedness for emergencies. * Ensures that all officers complete formal requirements to remain certified as required by their positions and provide high quality service to local businesses and the community. * Disseminates emergency information quickly. * Carries out other duties and committee assignments as directed by the Company Captain, or Vice President of company. Minimum Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field * 12 years of progressively responsible experience in the field, with five (5) years of senior management experience for a comparably sized organization or as a Police Chief for a smaller organization; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. * Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina drivers license. * Must be NC POST certified. * Must possess or obtain Basic and Executive Training Law Enforcement certifications within 18 months in the classification; may be required to obtain and maintain additional certifications as deemed necessary. * Demonstrated knowledge of the criminal laws of the State North Carolina. * Ability to solve problems and relate to staff, students, and other community members in a positive and professional manner. * Ability to recognize the cultural diversity of the campus community and ensure sensitive and equitable treatment of all citizens. * Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to carry out the duties of the Chief of Police and to communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff or other law enforcement agencies.
