A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Thought Leadership team helps our professionals deliver targeted thought leadership to our clients on relevant business topics. As part of the team, you'll support PwC with brand positioning, business marketing, and sales efforts through publications and speeches.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in at least two of the following areas: digital transformation, emerging tech, risk and regulatory matters, deals, future of work, or future of industries. Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Competitive positioning of content (in various formats and channels) produced by professional services organizations and top tier media companies; and,
  • Key business issues facing clients today and thought leadership content development that relates to our firm's capabilities, brand positioning, and growth plans.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in project management of multiple and diverse editorial projects and day-to-day operations, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Conducting independent research, including conducting interviews, partnering with internal resources to develop a distinctive point of view on specific topics that impact the financial services industry;
  • Approaching projects with intellectual curiosity using an analytical and quantitative mindset;
  • Leveraging writing and editorial skills to translate complex concepts into easy to understand, engaging and compelling messaging, in various formats, for delivery in different digital channels;
  • Resolving issues independently while coordinating with leadership or subject matter specialists, when necessary;
  • Managing performance and development of staff through coaching, including developing and facilitating training for research analysts;
  • Coordinating the editorial consultations, development, and calendar within the firm across lines of services and sectors on the assigned issues or campaign, for cohesive messaging throughout the firm; -Using new tools to apply techniques in the development and delivery of content;
  • Facilitating ideation and editorial discussions with subject matter specialists and Marketing and Sales colleagues; and,
  • Tracking the firm's positioning in the assigned topic, area, industry, or domain, to aid in the development of differentiated content.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: This is a job classification within the Management job family. Reports directly to the County Executive for Technology and Operations and functions as the second highest level of management within the department. Incumbents in this classification represent senior management within the department. This classification may require a flexible work schedule in order to meet the needs of the department. Duties and Responsibilities * Directs and controls planning, budgets, resource allocation, financial systems and information technology of the department. Directs, oversees and participates in the development and implementation of the department's planning, organizing, mission, overall strategic goals and objectives. Directs scheduling, monitoring and deploying of human, operating and capital resources to accomplish policies, plans and program outcome measures. Ensures that the department adheres to agency goals and objectives. * Participates actively in organizational strategic planning. Assists the County Executive with overall departmental responsibilities and has delegated authority to make necessary departmental decisions in absence of County Executive. * Develops, manages and controls departmental programs, budgets and personnel. Oversees the development of the department budget, including revenue forecasting, departmental budget reviews and recommendations to the County Executive. Supports the County Executive in presentation of budget and capital improvement program to Commissioners Court. Reviews and approves department operating expenditures. Directs department heads and other senior managers in implementing fiscal transactions and decisions. Plans future budgetary requirements. * Manages conflict resolution for T&O departments and programs. Evaluates and reports on program performance.
