A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Thought Leadership team helps our professionals deliver targeted thought leadership to our clients on relevant business topics. As part of the team, you'll support PwC with brand positioning, business marketing, and sales efforts through publications and speeches.


As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Develop project strategies to solve complex technical challenges for our clients

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria

  • Train, coach, and supervise team members

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and developing your PwC brand

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in at least two of the following areas: digital transformation, emerging tech, risk and regulatory matters, deals, future of work, or future of industries. Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Competitive positioning of content (in various formats and channels) produced by professional services organizations and top tier media companies; and,
  • Key business issues facing clients today and thought leadership content development that relates to our firm's capabilities, brand positioning, and growth plans.

Demonstrates intimate knowledge and/or a proven record of success in project management of multiple and diverse editorial projects and day-to-day operations, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas:

  • Conducting independent research, including conducting interviews, partnering with internal resources to develop a distinctive point of view on specific topics that impact the financial services industry;
  • Approaching projects with intellectual curiosity using an analytical and quantitative mindset;
  • Leveraging writing and editorial skills to translate complex concepts into easy to understand, engaging and compelling messaging, in various formats, for delivery in different digital channels;
  • Resolving issues independently while coordinating with leadership or subject matter specialists, when necessary;
  • Managing performance and development of staff through coaching, including developing and facilitating training for research analysts;
  • Coordinating the editorial consultations, development, and calendar within the firm across lines of services and sectors on the assigned issues or campaign, for cohesive messaging throughout the firm; -Using new tools to apply techniques in the development and delivery of content;
  • Facilitating ideation and editorial discussions with subject matter specialists and Marketing and Sales colleagues; and,
  • Tracking the firm's positioning in the assigned topic, area, industry, or domain, to aid in the development of differentiated content.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the administrative direction of a superior with considerable latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgment; work is subject to review through conferences and written reports for satisfactory performance and conformance to pertinent standards and guidelines. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: Plans, supervises and evaluates the activities of a professional and technical staff engaged in assembling and analyzing health data and information.To plan, organize, direct and review the activities of a staff engaged in collecting, assembling, analyzing, processing and interpreting health data and related information, including information on health status, health services, health facilities, health personnel, health expenditures and health care outcome. To produce and publish interpreted statistical analyses of data acquired from a variety of inter and intra agency sources. To maintain cooperative arrangements with other agencies in the public and private sector engaged in bio-statistical activities. To advise appropriate parties on the scope, methods, purposes and organization of data collection methods. To review health status and health care data with the intent of anticipating needs and estimating program outcome. To procure an adequate capability in the area of electronic data processing. To provide special studies over and above routine data collection. To propose and conduct appropriate research activities. To do related work as required. KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND CAPACITIES: A thorough knowledge of biostatistical and epidemiological methods and their application to public health planning activity; a thorough knowledge of the techniques necessary preparing and publishing statistical data; a working knowledge of electronic data processing; the ability to analyze health related data and evaluate the effectiveness of existing or proposed health programs; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various agencies engaged in biostatistical activities and research; and related capacities and abilities. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Such as may have been gained through: possession of a PH.D or Doctor of Public Health Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning with specialization in bio-statistics, epidemiology, or Population Based research; and Experience: Such as may have been gained through: employment in a responsible administrative capacity involving the collection and analysis of health related data. Or, any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience. Within the Department of Health, participate in oversight of a program conducting investigations and surveys involving: * Complaints and charges of unprofessional conduct against health care facilities, licensed entities, certified or otherwise subject to regulation by the department. * To assist in preparation for board and/or administrative hearings and/or court presentation by interviewing witnesses and taking their statements, and reviewing and obtaining records and other documents appropriate and necessary to compiling records and evidence, and providing written summaries of evidence received * To appear before boards and/or in court and provide testimony * To cooperate with state and local police in the enforcement of state laws involving violations committed I such aforementioned areas of illegal activities and to coordinate departmental investigative activities and cooperate with such law enforcement agencies. * To coordinate interdepartmental activities and work with other state entities and stakeholders. * To oversee regulatory activities for state-licensed licensed healthcare facilities including initial, annual, and incident/ complaint investigations. * To assist with investigation of complaints related to health care facilities. * To develop policies and procedures to assess quality and regulatory compliance of licensed healthcare providers. * To develop and present training programs to health care agencies, associations, and advocacy groups regarding quality care and regulatory compliance. * To serve as content expert and hearing officer for regulatory and legislative matters regarding health care facilities and other licensed entities. * To serve as deputy to Chief. * To do other work as required.
