Freddie Mac's Finance division is seeking a Risk and Performance Senior to be part of the Investments and Capital Markets CFO department. The Investments and Capital Markets CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, portfolio risk and profitability analysis, pricing and valuation activities and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac's Investments segment. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Treasury function within the Investments segment, through daily and monthly risk and performance reporting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Treasury function with daily Cash Flow Forecasting and Liquidity Risk metric measurement

  • Interacting with Funding desk and ALM traders within the Investments and Capital Markets division to understand and explain portfolio activities, market conditions, and results

  • Analyzing and explaining Non-Mortgage-Related Asset (e.g. Debt, Liquidity and Contingency, and Other investments) portfolio composition and profitability, including net interest yield

  • Analyzing debt portfolio composition, issuance activities, and spreads for Freddie Mac and competitors

  • Analyzing new and existing funding strategies

  • Perform periodical (daily/weekly/monthly) reporting and analysis of Investments and Capital Markets counterparty risk exposure

  • Preparing presentations delivered to senior management and the Board of Directors

  • Partner with business areas to understand needs, develop and maintain reports on business analytics, and adjust deliverables accordingly

  • Reviewing work prepared by peers or junior-level staff

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fixed income, financial services, and/or financial analysis

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint and the aptitude to learn other software

  • Proficiency with SQL or willingness to learn

  • Self-starter

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
