Our Risk and Patient Safety Advisor will be our 'go-to' expert in providing sound guidance and will share that knowledge with clients and our internal teams through coaching, advising, and education.
As a Risk and Patient Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for responding on-demand to short-term crises and questions from customers related to risk management, patient safety, and potential claims. As a trusted expert in risk management, you will have the opportunity to provide consultation, research, tools, coaching, and advice to customers across all of Constellation's companies. This role will share expertise through creating new tools, enhancing our library of resources, and engaging customers on the Online Forum. This position will also partner with the Sr Risk & Patient Safety Consultants and Claim Consultants to share customer insights and deepen the relationship.

You will be responsible for:
Respond directly to customers with relevant research and sound guidance on patient safety, risk management, and adverse event management
Develop a library of resources on risk management and patient safety topics
Develop a roster of trusted outside experts for warm hand-off referrals on issues outside our expertise
Collaborate with Claim team on client issues, situations appropriate for apology and early resolution, coaching during adverse events, and working with clients on strategies for prevention
Serve as a subject matter expert and internal educator on client pain points to other Constellation teams
Collaborate with the consulting team on risk management strategies, trends, client needs, or new resources
Connect customers with Constellation's teams, services, and offerings
You will have:
Bachelor's degree required
Master's degree in healthcare field, administration, or law with emphasis in healthcare preferred
5 years' experience working with risk management, claim management, or proactive claim prevention
Experience critically assessing events and issues in health care delivery, researching leading experts, and giving concise guidance
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication style
Customer service oriented
