Job Description:

The Business Control Specialist, in the Bank as Service Provider - Service Organization Controls Support role, provides analytical support and fulfillment of inquiries from the Bank's external auditors. In this role, you will manage auditor inquiry response to timely completion, perform evidence reviews, research exceptions and communicate risk related issues to Management.

You are responsible for interacting with all levels of Management, as well as control partners across the Company, to:

  • Work with external auditors to clearly define the requirements needed to fulfill audit inquiries

  • Identify most appropriate means to fulfill the audit need

  • Identify compensating controls to meet a control objective

  • Ensure appropriate subject matter experts are engaged

  • Act as a liaison between the technology control owners and auditors

  • Review materials provided to ensure fulfillment of the audit inquiry

  • Identify issues presented in audit response materials and escalate to Management

  • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of external audit inquiries

Required Skills

  • Strong analysis and fact-based decision-making

  • Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms (oral and written)

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize requests and workload accordingly

  • Understand audit evidence requirements

  • Ability to identify risks from reviewing audit documents

  • Ability to identify compensating controls to meet a control objective

  • Must be detail oriented

  • 5+ years' experience in internal or external IT Audit is preferred.

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-28T00:00 Job Description: This senior risk quantification/ Factor Analysis of Information Risk (FAIR) analyst (individual contributor) will assist in the development and execution of a FAIR-Based Risk Quantification Program in one or more of the following areas: Scenario/Data/Model Development, Internal Engagement Leadership, or Analysis Execution. The role will require a combination of facilitation, analysis, technical, information security, and business skills and candidates will be expected to contribute risk quantification and risk management thought leadership to FAIR team. Preference will be given to candidates who either have deep experience in the business of banking, extensive red team skills and who wish to model risk, or who have a strong background in applied risk measurement and metrics theory. Candidate will assist the rest of the team in building strong, collaborative partnerships with internal key risk partners and, as required, external risk quantification industry partners. This role will be responsible for working closely with the Global Information Security Senior Leadership Team and their direct reports, the Cyber Threat Intelligence team, the Threat Modeling team, Business Information Security Officers, key Cybersecurity Defense and Cyber Security Technology teams, select LOB/Enterprise risk partners and other key risk quantification stakeholders across GIS. The responsibilities of the position will include leading and/or assisting at a high level in several or all of the following: * Formulation, execution and management of standardized and custom FAIR risk quantification analyses * GIS and Enterprise risk quantification requirements identification and management * Development, application and maintenance of FAIR-based models, standard analysis scenarios and risk quantification tools/techniques * Formulation, execution and management of risk quantification data strategies and associated technical platform development * Identification of internal (GIS and enterprise) and external primary/secondary loss, threat event and susceptibility data/information * Formulation, execution and management of a dedicated risk quantification engagement vehicle (FAIR Working Group) * Facilitation of risk quantification meetings and working group sessions * Partner with teammates and analysis/model stakeholders to present to senior leadership. * Formal and informal risk quantification/FAIR training and socialization efforts development and delivery Required Skills: * Information Security & Technology professional with extensive information security expertise * Significant risk quantification and/or risk management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations * Must display strong subject matter expertise in risk quantification, management, governance and development of risk appetite * High level critical thinking/analytical skills * Sustained intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn that directly drives improved individual and team performance * Capable of analyzing, simplifying and expressing complex problems; ability to synthesize disparate information in order to provide strategic and tactical insights and solutions * Big picture/strategic and conceptual thinker with ability to "connect the dots" while also consistently executing at the tactical level with speed and accuracy * Ability to work in a high visibility, fast-paced environment where needs/priorities can change and way forward is not always clear * Ability to influence horizontally and vertically across the organization/Enterprise, to include among diverse audiences with varying degrees of technical understanding/expertise * Strong and demonstrated facilitation, collaboration and relationship-building experience * Strong leadership skills to enable working with and leading peers and various levels of management * Organized self-starter; versatile and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight * Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities * Excellent communication skills (writing, presentation development/delivery); ability to communicate directly with executives * Strong organization skills; demonstrates attention to detail, documents work clearly, prioritizes appropriately and operates with a sense of urgency/purpose Desired Skills: * Bachelors and/or Master's degree * Familiarity with/experience using FAIR * Operational Risk/Operational Loss/LOB experience at a Financial Institution * Penetration Testing/Hunt Team experience * Threat Modeling and/or Rapid Threat Assessment development experience * Prior audit and/or compliance experience * FAIR, CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM certification or similar Posting Date: 10/29/2018 Location: Addison, TX, 16001 N Dallas Pkwy (TX8044), - United States Travel: No Full / Part-time: Full time Hours Per Week: 40 Shift: 1st shift Bank Of America Corporation Addison TX
