The Risk Management team at Health Central seeks to hire a Risk Manager II that is responsible for the facility or assigned area's risk management activities.

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of clinical or medical legal experience to include three years' experience in a supervisory capacity and two years Risk Management experience as a Risk Manager in Prevention.

  • Advanced PC literacy required.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops, coordinates, and administers facility or assigned area-wide systems for risk identification, investigation and reduction; maintains a network of informational sources and experts; performs risk surveys and inspects patient care areas; and reviews facility or assigned area for loss potential.

  • Provides proactive analysis of patient safety and medical errors processes.

  • Facilitates all root cause analysis investigations and reporting of adverse events and sentinel events to the apparent parties.

  • Participates on committees directed towards promoting patient safety issues.

  • Complies with various codes, laws and regulations concerning patient care, including those mandated by state and federal agencies, incident reporting; includes investigation activities of federal, state and local enforcement authorities.

Position Summary Health Central Hospital at Orlando Health is currently seeking a Lab Assistant to join our team. The Lab Assistant performs specimen receiving and processing duties, registers patients, enters orders in the computer system, centrifuge specimens, labels and aliquot samples, delivers to test site, stores samples, slides, blocks, etc. Education/Training High school graduate or GED equivalent. Licensure/Certification None. Experience Two (2) years of laboratory experience or patient care experience. Current student seeking higher educational degree or certification in a science field, such as nursing, medical technology, pre-med, or related clinical field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience. Essential Functions * Provides support in the areas of patient registration, third party reimbursement requirements and regulations. * Maintains department supplies and customer supply orders. * Demonstrates knowledge of specimen collection and handling requirements. * Performs all departmental functions and has a thorough knowledge of hospital and laboratory information systems, to include downtime functions, specimen processing, transportation, billing, reference testing and scheduling. * Maintains positive customer service relationships at all times and proactively responds to customer service issues.
