JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Report workers compensation and general liability claims as required within corporate guidelines.

  • Conduct three party contacts when new claims are presented.

  • Work with our adjusters in various states regarding new claims.

  • Assist in administration of G2's Return to Work (RTW) program.

  • Communicate with various personnel regarding the ongoing claim process, and assist our field personnel with any follow-up issues.

  • Maintenance of our internal claims files.

  • Successfully interface with various departments within G2.

  • Work within Excel preparing reports and charts as needed for various internal reporting requirements.

  • Actively Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred,

  • Risk Management claims experience 2 years

  • MS Excel experience

  • MS Access experience a plus

  • State of Texas Insurance Certificate or the ability/desire to obtain one.

  • Ability to communicate professionally in both written and spoken forms.

  • Reliable form of transportation

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • College preferred.

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.

  • Must be knowledgeable regarding applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to the hiring process and employment.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Ability to work as a team while focusing on details.

  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of claims specialist work.

PERSONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Treat all information as confidential.

  • Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or hold up to 10 lbs.

  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug test.

  • Must be a citizen of the United States or possess necessary authorization from INS.
