Primary responsibility of this position is the gathering of data and the coordination of insurance placement that support the Covenant Health Risk Finance program initiative as outlined in The Risk Management Subcommittee Plan and approved by the Covenant Health System Quality Improvement and Professional Relations Committee of the Board. This includes projects and support of all the risk financing activities associated with Covenant's insurance portfolio, including the employed physicians program, as well as providing administrative and clerical support to the Risk Finance Department
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of college-level coursework and related work experience is required. Coursework emphasis in pre-law, business administration, insurance, or healthcare is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience. Knowledge of medical and legal terminology and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills and ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in the risk management or healthcare field. Highly skilled in general secretarial and accounting duties such as record keeping, filing, and computer skills. This position requires a self-starter that needs little direct supervision and has excellent communication skills
