Job Description:

SkillStorm is seeking a Risk Management - Project Manager for one of our clients in New York, New York.

Job Description:

  • Run reporting, oversight and governance routines for a large portfolio of initiatives across the GBAM portfolio.

  • Prepare governance presentations allowing executives to make informed funding decisions.

  • Compile information for executive presentations

  • Assist with designing and implementing process enhancements for program managers and COOs

  • Communicate and influence to drive results-oriented solutions

  • Enable effective reviews of portfolio health and issue / risk identification and remediation

  • Partner across the organization to eliminate potential roadblocks to success

  • Conduct in depth analysis and work with executive stakeholders to drive change

  • Assist with the development of financial reports and automation

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects or leading teams

  • Experience leading & driving Finance Risk or Regulatory Risk Management projects or initiatives

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence across multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills; demonstrate initiative and be able to make quick decisions

  • Willingness to work under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Ability to multi task and properly prioritize multiple projects

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management Professional Certification

  • Experience in a Financial Institution

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project

The RISQ Division in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America). Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") is a RISQ department that provides SGUS with a comprehensive, integrated view of its risks and enables management of risks across the firm on a consistent basis and in line with business and strategic objectives. ERM is a structured approach to identifying, measuring, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on all risks facing SGUS. It enables SGUS to achieve its business and strategic objectives, while remaining within the risk appetite established and approved by management. ERM develops and implements the ERM Framework and SGUS Risk Appetite Statement, coordinates the Enterprise Risk Committee and manages Risk Identification & Assessment and enterprise-wide Stress Testing activities for SGUS. ERM is designed to capture all risks that arise from SGUS' Operations, which include those risks that are booked, originated, and/or managed in the U.S. ERM is organized into four poles: * Governance * Enterprise Risk Appetite & Reporting * Risk Identification & Assessment * Stress Testing The professional sought for this position will be a member of the Governance (GOV) team being part of the SG US Enterprise Risk Management Team. He or she and will report into the Head of Governance within Enterprise Risk Management.
