Background:

The Department of the Navy (DON) operates one of the largest combined networks in the world, comprised of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), the Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) Navy Enterprise Network (ONE-Net), the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and other legacy networks. The Service Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program will facilitate an enterprise-wide capability for effective and integrated operations, oversight, responsibility, and accountability for the NMCI and the MCEN, as well as incorporate the ONE-Net into a consolidated enterprise IT services business model.

Scope:

  • Serves as GDIT's Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Manager for the Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) Program.

  • Develops requirements formulation and assessment, including the planning and execution of technical risk reduction efforts. Analyzes documents, statistics, reports and market trends pertinent to NGEN's support of the Navy and Marine Corps mission. Lead assessment and identification of potential risks that may hinder the mission success, security.

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures in conjunction with Network Security Manager and Legal experts to ensure that the network is prepared avoid or operate in the face of any potential threats.

  • Identifies where to best deploy resources for the greatest impact.

  • Anticipates possible adverse events, evaluates probabilities of occurrence, and recommends cost effective steps to limit impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • At least 10 years of general work experience

  • Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, in business, information systems, information technology, engineering, or a related field or 5 years additional general experience

  • Meet all qualifications for a DoD SECRET Clearance

  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM)

  • Project Management Institute

  • Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) Certified
  • ITIL Foundations Certified

Additional qualification:

  • ITIL Intermediate strongly desired
