Position Summary:

  • Day-to-day management and development of Corning Global Security's high-risk travel security program

  • Provide analysis, research, and operational support to the Corporate Security staff and Corning operations globally

  • Conduct in-depth research, gather information, identify intelligence gaps, interpret, and evaluate information from multiple and sometimes contradictory sources, and make recommendations

  • Monitor and track topics, trends and geographies driving Corning's geopolitical risk and opportunity landscape

  • Leverage skills, knowledge, and education to advise the GSOC and Corporate Security staff, providing expertise on a particular country, geographic region, or issue

  • Collect, manipulate, and analyze intelligence and travel data

  • Maintain proficiency in current intelligence capabilities and develop new techniques

  • Prepare and present intelligence products for various audiences across Corning's global functions and Divisions to increase organizational awareness and support critical decision making

  • Subject matter will have particular emphasis on geopolitical events, natural disasters, terrorism, and criminal activities, industrial, governmental, and cultural trends

  • Implement and manage Corning's geopolitical intelligence and risk management framework aligned to enterprise level approach

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage the pre-trip coordination with Corning travelers to high-risk destinations globally

  • Support intelligence and risk analysis program for Corning through assessments and rigorous process development

  • Manage projects related to collection, analysis and reporting to improve risk intelligence and Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) operations, product delivery and dissemination

  • Support a threat risk assessment tool and classify locations based on priority threat types

  • Identify and extract essential information from intelligence sources, research, and investigations; analyze the data and synthesize the information into written reports that can be disseminated to Corporate Security staff

  • Develop specific expertise and provide an accurate understanding of present and emerging threats to respective areas of operation

  • Respond to regional incidents by developing historical / contextual analysis of probability of impact to Corning's business continuity

  • Support GSOC operations, the GSOC Staff group, Global Security, and Corning leadership as needed

Required Education and Experience:

  • BA in Intelligence Studies, Political Science, International Affairs or related field, or 3-7 years related full-time work experience

  • Experience in analysis-focused operations required

Required Skills:

  • Understand academic and practical approaches to reading, listening, writing, and speaking

  • Achievement in variety of clear and effective writing forms: executive summary, long-form forward-looking estimates, SOP, real-time advice, brief informative publication

  • Ability to step in and assist GSOC and security operations using a Values aligned approach

  • Strong editing and proof-reading skills

  • Ability to work in a close team environment

  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Can engage in productive disagreement with peers and superiors with intention towards reaching best outcomes for customer

  • Capable of handling several tasks simultaneously

  • Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines

  • Experienced with MS Office 365(Visio, Excel, Access, SharePoint etc.)

  • Able to rapidly assimilate information and make recommendations at short notice

  • Confident and result driven with a proven track record of delivering projects

  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Willing to work on-call during off hours to support global requirements of a 24/7/365 security operation

  • Six Sigma fluency is a strong plus - change management, voice of customer, measuring performance

This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The range for this position is $71,648.00 - $98,516.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
