Risk Forecasting and Modeling Analyst

The Risk Forecasting and Modeling Analyst (Sr. Analyst, Analytics) is primarily responsible for risk-based data mining and analysis within their designated business area.

• Support the team to meet the requirements for regulatory stress-testing, strategic planning and business-as-usual risk management

• Research and develop statistical techniques to derive insights on risk trends and drivers

• Communicates results of work and recommendations for improvements or enhancements effectively to the supervisor

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and convert data into meaningful business intelligence to enhance decisions

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience. Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Management Information Systems, Statistics or equivalent quantitative field preferred.

• Work Experience: 3+ Years as a Risk Analyst or in Risk Management in Banking or financial services

• Strong coding skills preferably with a working knowledge of SAS and SQL

• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of data analysis, data presentation, and data development.

• Strong knowledge and practical experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets.

• Ability to focus on details to ensure and maintain data accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.

• Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Strong project management skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
