Position: Risk Event Manager

Position Overview:

The Risk Event Manager serves as an interdepartmental liaison interfacing with multiple lines of business and staff functions to gather data, perform analysis, identify root cause and contain/remediate risk exposure events. Uses GreenSky knowledge, skills, experience, and talents to recommend strategic priorities to mitigate future events.

This position is responsible for researching and resolving a variety of complex, system and/or customer issues under the direction of the Business Risk Office and Compliance counsel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2+ years of experience with GreenSky systems and processes. Candidates must be able to develop detailed project plans, develop project scope and objectives, identify and involve all relevant stakeholders and use the most effective resources to contain and/or remediate risk events quickly and fully. Candidates must possess a practical understanding of compliance rules and regulations related to consumer lending. Candidates must be able to communicate with varying levels of senior management, line level agents and customers in a clear and effective manner to ensure effective and complete communication to all parties involved in a regulated environment.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess risk events to identify root cause/severity, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

  • Facilitate root-cause analyses of risk events and participate in the development of action plans to contain and remediate them.

  • Analyze data to identify the population of affected loans/accounts for each risk event.

  • Lead the efforts to contain and ultimately remediate declared risk events.

  • Lead meetings using technical, business, and financial acumen to communicate effectively with executives and their respective teams.

  • Work proactively and communicate effectively with multiple lines of business.

  • Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

  • Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals and track details/data/information/activities.

  • Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date risk event logs. Ensure logs are distributed in a timely manner.

  • Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.

Organizational: This position is a member of the Business Risk Office - Risk Event team and reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Risk Office.

VIEW JOBS 12/6/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-06T00:00 Posting Description Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Manager - Program Development, Disaster risk Reduction and Response (DR3). This position will be based at the Administrative headquarters located in Atlanta, GA and requires approximately 20% travel. The Program Development Manager, Disaster Risk Reduction and Response (DR³) leads the DR³ program design, grant management and monitoring, evaluation/reporting, and learning support functions within DR3, and acts as a liaison with the resource development team in fundraising efforts for HFH's DR3 programs. The position oversees the knowledge and Information management functions during disasters and regular programming, to inform decision making, implementation excellence, and technical positioning. Responsibilities: * Leads HFH's DR³ Program development and funding efforts: * Supports HFH global network efforts to resource DR³ programs in collaboration with HFHI Resource Development team * Serves as grant development subject matter expert within HFH's DR³ Department, ensuring humanitarian shelter and settlements technical excelence in program design and grant writing efforts, in coordination with HFHI Resource Development team for corporate and foundation funding, and as a program design lead on multilateral, or government funding in coordination with the Global DR3 team, Area Offices, and National Organizations * Develops Fiscal year funding packaging of US/C, and International DR3 programs including collaterals for fundraisers addressing financial needs, accessing materials, past donor engagements, and donor / SME engagement process * Uses strong graphic and writing communication skills to convey to corporate donors and supporters the value proposition that HFH DR3 programs bring in enhancing resilience and supporting families recovering from disasters * Deploys virtually or physically in the immediate wake of a disaster / emergency to faciliate the flow of information between the field and support offices involved in fundraising * Ensures that strong Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning plans are included in all DR3 program design, and related proposals to donors * Oversees grant management implemented at HQ level, such as those related to global capacity building or readiness to respond and ensures that all project reports and monitoring and evaluation are carried out as stipulated in DR³ grant agreements managed by HFHI DR³ HQ team, in coordination with HFHI Resource Development and MEAL teams * Information and Knowledge Management: * Increases awareness of HFH global network in DR³ promising practices and internationally-accepted standards throughout the Global Center for Disaster Resilience (GCDR) * Manages and contributes to the development of HFH DR³ standard operating proceedures and program techincal guides in coordination with regional DR³ teams. * Coordinates the development and supply of a variety of resource materials (story telling, blogs, research papers, opinion pieces, social media presence, presentations, research, etc.) in close collaboration with HFHI Communications and Advocacy teams. * Leads DR³ efforts in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning processes and metrics in close coordination with HFHI MEAL and Data team, including accountability to beneficiaries. * Leads DR3 SME for the Global Metrics Tool (GMT - international) and Affiliate Statistical Report / Housing Production Report (ASR/HPR – domestic) * Oversees DR³ publishing group in support of HFHI's knowledge management portals in coordination with HFHI Learning team and IT * Oversees information management needs during a disaster through the coordination of disaster data points from relevant units across HFHI, during level II and level III disaster responses (Program, GIS, Global Analytics, Communications, Finances, Resource Development, Volunteer management, Safety and security, etc.) to enable timely and informed decision making by Senior Leadership, through maintaining current information in HFHI Disaster Portals, and coordination with the regions on information needs * Advances the development of the global HFH DR³ sector leadership team and community of practice: * Leads the DR³ Community of Practice through regular meetings and themes/agendas * Participates in and helps create opportunities for on-going interactions among DR³ subject matter experts throughout HFH's global network along with other DR³ staff * Actively contributes to HFHI Disaster Readiness efforts across domestic and international * Engages and connects HFH to DR³ peer agencies and networks, authorities and the donor community: * Manages and promotes (and engages when possible) HFH DR³ subject matter expert involvement in sector papers, articles, guidelines and other publications in coordination with HFHI Communications and Advocacy teams * Promotes (and engages when possible) active involvement of HFH DR³ subject matter experts with peers, think tanks, networks and donors * Ensures that HFH's DR³ web page, is up to date and reflective of current projects, initiatives and practices in coordination with HFHI Communications team * Other related duties as assigned by supervisor Fiscal and Organizational Responsibilities: Organizational Level(s) Impacted US affiliates, National Offices, Area offices Planning, Leadership, and Policy Level Impact Helps develop department priorities and funding goals, engages with communications and advocacy teams in DR3 sector advocacy, and awareness raising.
