The Multifamily Underwriting Analyst (Risk Distribution & Credit Underwriting Analyst) will support the Credit Policy team in performing and reporting on credit assessment of loans originated for Freddie Mac's Multifamily platform. The Analyst will also work on standardized Credit Policy reviews and supporting more complicated Credit Policy development based on experience level. The Analyst will apply job knowledge, company policies and principles, and critical thinking to complete assigned tasks accurately, completely, independently, and in a timely manner.
Your work will primarily fall into the following categories:
Support Credit Policy developers in gathering data and evaluating industry trends for policy development and special projects.
Create and maintain reporting databases and documents on credit parameters and thresholds on loans originated by Freddie Mac Multifamily.
Develop and update internal and external user tools to increase efficiency and transparency in credit evaluation as needed.
Collaborate with business partners in Production, Underwriting, Capital Markets, Legal, and Asset Management departments to validate and update pertinent information for reports, policies, and special projects.
Oversee internal and external dissemination of new and updated policies, reports, and other communications to the senior management team and other Multifamily business partners.
Up to 2 years of experience (prior experience in multifamily or commercial real estate industry preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
