Job Summary

This is a hybrid role that will provide internal audit and risk management services to Senior Leadership, including value added assessments of financial and operational controls, project management support of certain outsourced internal audit activities, and identification, analysis and communication of risks facing DT Midstream.

Key Accountabilities

  • Plan, develop, and conduct financial control and substantive audits, and operational audits of new and/or complex Company systems, operations, processes, functions, and activities.

  • Document and evaluate internal controls, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including Sarbanes-Oxley).

  • Audits may also include special investigations requiring the application of specialized auditing principles and practices.

  • Write comprehensive audit reports, and develop presentations that clearly describe objectives, scope, conclusions, and findings. Provides value added recommendations describing scope, objectives, conclusions, findings, and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders. Conduct draft review meetings.

  • Recommend new auditing techniques to analyze the adequacy of controls and the effectiveness of operational procedures and processes.

  • Coordinate with independent auditors and provide data in support of external audits as needed.

  • Provide support in developing the Risk Register for company Senior Management and Board of Directors. Serve as an internal consultant to business units as required to support the risk management and identification strategy.

  • Perform risk analysis of significant contracts.

  • Research and prepare internal communication for Senior Management.

  • Assist in developing a process to assist the business in linking their strategic initiatives and ongoing efforts to emerging and existing risks facing the business.

  • Assist in developing a platform for business units to evaluate and communicate strategic, operational, and financial risks and assess the impact those risks have on the long-term strategy of the business.

  • Utilize risk knowledge to provide input to audit management in developing the Annual Audit Plan, and to perform risk assessments for a given audits.

  • Must be able to work effectively with personnel at all levels internally and externally such as outside accountants, management consulting firms, etc.

  • Provide leadership, analytical and financial skills on ad hoc projects.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and two years of experience in auditing, financial accounting and/or financial reporting

  • Big 4 and/or public company direct experience preferred

  • CPA preferred

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively while demonstrating strong analytical and facilitation skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to concisely analyze, summarize and present financial information to large and/or small audiences.

  • Ability to work professionally with individuals at all levels of the corporation and with outside consultants.

  • Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling skills and experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to organize work independently and work in teams.

  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and SEC reporting requirements. Experience in application of a broad range of technical accounting and reporting requirements.

  • Ability to respond quickly to changing customer requirements and changes in the business.

  • Ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods; flexibility in working hours required.

  • Engages in a positive working environment within and across functional areas.
