Job Summary

Under broad supervision conducts risk control assessment evaluation consulting and technical support for prospective new and renewal business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

Performs workplace/work site risk evaluation and consultative risk improvement services and makes risk recommendation for the underwriting function. Includes recommending solutions to customers to minimize risk.

Works with senior risk control staff to assess account and/or book of business needs and implements customized strategy.

Partners with underwriting and other areas to provide information for risk evaluation and assessment. Includes reviewing accounts for operational issues claims profitability and agency management etc.

Analyzes losses on individual accounts or specific book of business to identify root cause of loss trends and emerging issues.

Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external business partners.

Conducts education training programs and presentations.

Conducts agency/broker visits to build relationships discuss account or book of business issues and market company products and services.

May identify opportunities for new products and services.

May provide expertise in one or more specialty area.

May be responsible for special projects and presentations.

We currently seek a mid-career level Control Account Manager (CAM) to be a part of the team developing the hypersonic technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to conflict. in this role your duties will include leading, planning, budgeting, and managing the cost/schedule/technical performance for each assigned Control Account (CA). Effectively manage control account performance, elevate concerns and issues where appropriate to program management, including other impacted control account managers. Work with partnering organizations (supply chain, PMP, quality, etc?) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the lifecycle. Identify risks and opportunities to the program Risk & Opportunity Control Board and implement approved mitigation plans. Conduct closed loop corrective action to include thorough variance analysis, monitoring of cost/schedule mitigation activities, and corrective action adjustment as necessary. Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the Program Manager. Be "at the ready" for any 2nd level questions related to parts procurement status, headcount challenges, resource constraints, or safety and quality issues. Complete all earned value management (EVM) assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete review, schedule status, variance reporting, and comprehensive estimates at complete. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. * Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early milestones may drive future costs. * Previous CAM or project lead experience. * Previous Proposal, BOE, & Negotiations experience. * Risk and Opportunity Management experience. * Must be a United States citizen and be able to obtain a Final Secret clearance Desired Skills: * Active Interim Secret Clearance * Strong problem solving, root cause, corrective action, and closure skills. * Lead discussions and determine resolutions to problems. * Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with customer. * Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure. * Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success. * Support internal and external customer audits. * Desire to enhance Program Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships.
