The successful candidate will help to build a new function within Corporate Treasury to partner collaboratively with their assigned Risk Discipline, other Treasury analysts, managers, and consultants, to create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework.

  • The role will participate in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations and Corporate policies impacting Liquidity, Capital, and Interest Rate Risk management.

  • The role works across risk disciplines to identify and implement new policies, enhanced procedures, and best practices and identifies gaps and inform solutions that minimize issues and losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors.

  • Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Serves as a functional liaison between the Treasury Risk Teams and the Lines of Defense.

  • The position will interact across all Corporate governance programs including data risk management, internal and external reporting, communication of metrics, and quality of internal risk assessment activities.

  • The position will be highly visible to all management levels of Corporate Treasury and Management and have an opportunity to expand their knowledge about the specific financial risks at a highly detailed level.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Five to seven years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

  • Applicable professional certifications (CIA and/or CPA)

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business

  • Advanced understanding of Corporate Treasury's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Advanced knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

  • Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management

  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications

  • Ability to collaborate within the Risk Support Group and across Treasury to meet common goals with competing timelines

VIEW JOBS 12/1/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-01T00:00 The Consumer Banking Sales and Support ("CBSS") Tools/Models/KI/Ops Risk Governance Risk Manager ("Risk Manager") is a First Line of Defense (1LOD) role reporting through the Business Line Chief Risk Office. The Risk Manager will provide operational risk related oversight primarily for the inventory, classification, and governance oversight for models and tools used by the CBSS Business Line among other operational risk management activities such as key indicator (KI) and program governance responsibilities. The Risk Manager will collaborate with BU leadership within CBSS including: Home Mortgage, Servicing, Direct Lending, Dealer/Indirect Lending, Small Business, Lending/Lease Operations, ATM/Debit Card Services, Digital Banking, and Product Strategy. The Risk Manager will manage a team of Tool/Model/Governance risk analysts. The team, under the leadership of the Risk Manager will execute the key responsibilities noted below, and serve as the primary liaison between BL key contacts, the BL CRO and 2LOD Policy Owners. Tools/Models: The Risk Manager will help ensure proper identification and inventory of models/tools, inventory certification, ensure defined ownership, provide documentation guidance, help identify notable controls, and verify validation of the tool/model is done in accordance with applicable company policy, procedures, and guidelines. In the event of identified issues or gaps related to a tool/model, the Risk Manager will help ensure issues are clearly explained to applicable owners and will help ensure resolution plans adequately address the noted issues or gap. The Risk Manager will serve as a point of contact to help interpret policy expectations and requirements to business unit (BU) owners. KI/Program Governance: The Risk Manager will help coordinate the review and mapping of KIs to high risks identified within the CBSS RCSA working closely with BU stakeholders to develop and provide periodic reporting. The Risk Manager will help ensure KIs are reviewed and updated while verifying limits/trends are within appropriate ranges in partnership with BU process owners. In addition, the Risk Manager will oversee the creation of overarching Ops Risk Reporting, the review of wire payment risks associated to the periodic review of Corporate and in-Bank Wire PINs, and other miscellaneous risk tasks as needed. Responsibilities: * Manage a team of Tool/Model/Program Governance Risk Analysts. * Prepare artifacts and supporting documentation for internal audits, QA/QC independent reviews or regulatory exams in conjunction with BL stakeholders/owners. * Ensure issues related to Tool/Model risks are tracked, analyzed for root causes, and facilitated among BL key contacts for appropriate response and resolution. * Review/Monitor formal business line issues from Compliance Quality Assurance (CQA), Corporate Audit Services (CAS), etc. related to Tool/Model process or control gaps. * Facilitate awareness and communication of the Tool/Model Risk Policy changes to BL stakeholders. Provide consultation BL stakeholders, and collective feedback to Policy Owners as needed * Monitor CBSS Business Change Risk Assessments (BCRAs) for new and changes to products for correlation to tool or model risk activity. * Provide periodic status reports and/or executive summary presentations to the CBSS Risk Office, Business Unit Partners, and other relevant stakeholders as appropriate. * Participate in RCSA workshops to assist in the risk ratings associated to the Tools/Model risk taxonomy for each relevant RAU; and to help ensure coverage of KIs associated to RAUs. * Oversee the creation of BU operational risk scorecards. * Manage the Tool/Model inventory certification. * Manage the quarterly/annual wire PIN certification. * Monitor regulatory news and events on relevant industry trends, enforcement actions or adverse events; and conduct impact analysis reporting to the CBSS Risk Office and appropriate stakeholders. * Maintain relevant procedures in accordance with policy updates or annual reviews.
