The successful candidate will help to build a new function within Corporate Treasury to partner collaboratively with their assigned Risk Discipline, other Treasury analysts, managers, and consultants, to create, implement, maintain, review or oversee an effective risk management framework.
The role will participate in projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations and Corporate policies impacting Liquidity, Capital, and Interest Rate Risk management.
The role works across risk disciplines to identify and implement new policies, enhanced procedures, and best practices and identifies gaps and inform solutions that minimize issues and losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems or human errors.
Identifies, responds and/or escalates risks as appropriate. Serves as a functional liaison between the Treasury Risk Teams and the Lines of Defense.
The position will interact across all Corporate governance programs including data risk management, internal and external reporting, communication of metrics, and quality of internal risk assessment activities.
The position will be highly visible to all management levels of Corporate Treasury and Management and have an opportunity to expand their knowledge about the specific financial risks at a highly detailed level.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Five to seven years of experience in an applicable risk management environment
Applicable professional certifications (CIA and/or CPA)
Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
Advanced understanding of Corporate Treasury's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Advanced knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills
Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
Ability to collaborate within the Risk Support Group and across Treasury to meet common goals with competing timelines
