We currently have a great career opportunity for a Risk Consultant -Casualty Claims in any of these locations, Chicago, NY, Minneapolis, or Southfield, MI office. This role will support our Aon Global Consulting group.

Delivery of tactical, client specific casualty claims services on assigned accounts in support of Aon's core brokerage services. Provide services to improve and monitor processes and assist in reducing client loss costs by ensuring the highest level of service from claims administrator(s). Identify client exposures and elevate opportunities to engage other Aon Global Risk Consulting resources. May require limited involvement in business development opportunities as dictated by geographic needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver customized client projects and services as agreed with the assigned Managing Consultant, Account Executive and Client;

  • Manage a component of the delivery of agreed client services and projects to ensure content quality and timely delivery;

  • Achieve and communicate improvement/results tied to frequency and severity reductions;

  • Meet or exceed assigned billable hours and utilization goals;

  • Communicate and collaborate directly with the mentoring Managing Consultant to identify opportunities for new business development;

  • Establish rapport and maintain positive working relationship with clients and colleagues;

  • Adhere to established Best Practices and make recommendations for improvement, when appropriate.

  • Provide advocacy on behalf of assigned clients relating to services rendered by carriers and/or TPAs to include the review and revision of account instructions, addressing client service concerns and negotiating applicable renewal pricing and terms.

  • Participate in telephonic or in-person claim reviews designed to result in file resolution, inclusive of documenting claim specific outcomes, actions plans and the appropriateness of reserving where applicable.

  • Attend and Participate in periodic on-site client meetings regarding service delivery and/or stewardship.

  • Utilize standard deliverable products and specific "Peer Review" process to ensure consistency of services.

Skills Required:

  • Strong technical knowledge and work experience adjusting or managing workers' compensation claims

  • Possess WC, AL and GL claims experience

  • Maintain knowledge/skills as an insurance professional and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Fluent in Microsoft office suite, Particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Minimum Work Experience Required: Three or more years in risk management in industry and/or insurance consultation. Specific job title to be commensurate with experience level, technical expertise and/or specialization


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience

The individual in this position should be a proven performer with strong technical knowledge and work experience adjusting or managing workers' compensation claims or possess multi-line claims experience with emphasis on casualty lines of coverage.
