BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Risk Administrator provides proactive support to all insurance procurement and claims processing as directed. Responsibilities include assisting the supervisor to anticipate problems, provide effective solutions, implement processes and procedures to mitigate (or altogether avoid) threats, continually review and analyze said processes and procedures, and advise of current insurance trends and products. The Risk Administrator will ensure that departmental projects, milestones, and goals are met within timeframes and resources as determined and agreed upon with the Director of Risk Operations.
Pay Rage: $25 - $28/hour
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Risk Administrator works closely with the Insurance Procurement Supervisor to plan, manage, and coordinate a variety of risk management functions and insurance programs in order to control risk and losses company wide. Job duties can vary and may change at any time.
Provides support with day-to-day interaction of brokers and insurers related to risk management and insurance issues
Assists with renewal of active/ongoing insurance policies by completing applications, populating spreadsheets, fulfilling broker/carrier requests
Assists with newly acquired entities (including their real and physical property) are added to existing insurance policies
Prepares safety audits as required by insurance carriers and the captive insurance program
Takes minutes, and summarizes risk and safety department review meetings
Interacts with Human Resources, Fleet Manager, attorneys, insurance companies, and third parties to efficiently and effectively resolve vehicle incidents involving firm's employees and property
Supports and works closely with Insurance Procurement Manager on short-term and long-term tasks as needed
Assists with the firm's bonding program by working intimately with surety brokerage team and internal licensing staff in order to request, renew, transfer, and cancel bonds related to bids, permits, licenses, performance, and payment
Maintains current EMR letter, proof of insurance, and bondability letter
Supports internal and external customer requests for certificates of insurance and other documentation as well as third party vendor compliance accounts (Avetta, RealPage, NetVendor, RMIS, etc.)
Completes Risk & Safety related client questionnaires, qualification processes, and other requests on behalf of Business Development Managers and other internal customers
Completes, uploads, disseminates, and archives the firm's OSHA 300 and 300A logs
Works intimately with Payroll to determine hours worked and employee count
Calculates firm's TRIR and DART rates
Processes, resolves, and archives subpoenas and depositions
Provides departmental training on an as needed basis when requested
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge base and experience working with Microsoft Office applications and various claims and risk management applications
Ability to provide excellent support and follow through on all assigned projects and tasks
Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
EDUCATION
Bachelor degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalency required
Construction and/or Insurance experience preferred

TRAVEL
Occasional travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
