Ride Control Technician (Busch Gardens Williamsburg)

As a Ride Control Tech, you'll provide a high level of technical, electrical and mechanical expertise in order to ensure our guests enjoy a thrilling, breathtaking - and safe experience. You will:

• Performs maintenance of all rides/attractions

• Responsible for all general maintenance of rides equipment.

• Must have the ability to perform as a team member in a job specific tasks.

• Must have the ability to complete tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park guidelines.

Position Responsibilities:

• Must perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and equipment.

• Must keep working areas neat, clean, and tidy.

• Must possess some knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

• This position requires dependable performance in terms of attendance, performance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.

What it takes to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Recent successful Busch Gardens (BGT/BGW) rides maintenance experience

• Must possess proficient use of the English language.

• At least one year of mechanical experience or tech. school in mechanics and possess mechanical ability.

• Basic mathematical skills are required, as well as adequate reading and writing skills.

• Valid local driver's license.

Essential skills/abilities and experience:

• Must know green tag procedures of rides.

• Must be able to pass all competency tests offered.

• Must be a self-motivator with good initiative and flexibility. Should be able to organize and plan daily workload with little supervision and possess good communication skills

• Should possess good interpersonal skills and communicative abilities.

• Must be able to work well as a team player and interact well within a group.
