What is the opportunity?
The Request for Proposal (RFP) Writer is will compile and deliver data and written content for business development activities targeting U.S. institutional investors. This position is a member of both the U.S. RFP Team and the broader Global RFP & Data Team, which is embedded in the client-facing team at RBC Global Asset Management responsible for client service and portfolio management for institutional clients globally.
What will you do?
Compile, format and deliver data working within deadlines (using Excel or Word).
Develop and edit written content that describes our firm, people, and investment business. Data and written responses will populate questionnaires, web profiles, due diligence efforts, marketing collateral, and in response to ad hoc questions.
Complete data analysis to explain discrepancies and promote consistency in reporting.
Liaise and communicate regularly and clearly with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts so that they can provide relevant information and inputs.
Proofread new business proposals ("requests for proposal" submissions, or "RFPs") managed by other writers.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with 1+ years' experience working with and presenting data in written, tabular and graphic form
Excellent communication and editing skills, specifically experience editing for professional audiences with multiple deadlines
Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and multiple deadlines within a fast-paced environment
Keen attention to detail with organizational and project management skills
Investment industry work experience
Experience working with databases
Familiarity with SQL queries, Tableau, Salesforce, RocketDocs/PMAPS
Interest in capital markets, possibly demonstrated by a CFA Investment Foundations Certificate
