The RFP Manager, CSB is responsible for researching RFP/Bid opportunities for both SLED and Private Sector opportunities, and for managing all opportunities that are selected by management to pursue. This responsibility will include the day to day management of the process and coordination of the teams assigned to the projects.

Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a multiple RFP/Bid related projects to ensure overall project quality, completeness and schedule adherence. Create, schedule, and execute RFP/Bid work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirement.

Identify resources needed for each RFP/Bid project and assign responsibility for individual tasks. Effectively manage cross-functional resources (finance, technical, billing, sales, etc.) to ensure timely completion of assignments. Utilize online tools, media, and customer/industry contacts, to conduct research related to SLED and Private Sector Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Bids (RFB), Invitations to Bid (ITB), etc. relevant to C Spire products and services.

Effectively communicate relevant RFP/Bid project information to stakeholders and management. Resolve and/or escalate RFP/Bid project issues in a timely fashion. Ensure that all RFP/Bid project documents are tracked, completed, and properly stored.

Coordinate the submission of RFP/Bid responses and any subsequent related questions, clarifications, or other request for information. Track responses through to award and communicate all results to management. Maintain standard RFP/Bid processes, procedures and documentation.

Manage project management staff when assigned to individual RFP/Bid projects. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Minimum 2 years business experience including formal or informal Project Management experience is required. PMP certification a plus.

Prior experience with coordinating, responding to, and managing schedules around bid opportunities for public and/or private sector entities is preferred. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams (sales, finance, technical, operational, etc.) strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and computer skills required.

Must have high level of initiative and be performance and success driven. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Must work well in a team environment.

Proficient in MS Office environment. Detail Oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Note: This is a brief description of the RFP Manager's responsibilities and is not limited to those described herein. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervises associates engaged in sales, inventory receipt, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. Prepares weekly schedules to ensure proper floor coverage within fiscal guidelines; reviews time sheets and other payroll documentation for accuracy and submits as appropriate. 2. Promotes customer service by ensuring associates are greeting and assisting customers; responds to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner. 3. Performs all financial activities effectively and in accordance with policy including cash handling and reporting, price changes, and merchandise handling; ensures all register transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with policy. 7. Administers all operational processes including inventory receipt/dispatch, daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels, and execution and preparation of physical inventories. 8. Facilitates and/or manages the general operations of the store ensuring that the store is in working order and adequately maintained to ensure safe and efficient operations. 9. Supports compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, operating procedures and controls; conducts associate training as needed to reinforce proper controls. 10. Assists in the recruiting, hiring, and development of store associates; interprets Key Performance Indicator reports and delivers coaching as needed; provides feedback to Store Manager for associate performance appraisals and evaluations. 11. Regular attendance is essential to this position in order to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives.
