This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll

Essential Functions

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and document systems that may include solid state high power transmitters, satellite communication systems, dry-air equipment, computers, UPS, antennas, pedestals, and electronics located on Kwajalein and Roi-Namur in the Marshall Islands.

  • Support land-based and ship-based systems and equipment.

  • Support customers by preparing systems for mission execution and operations.

  • Periodically perform activities on towers and elevated structures.

  • Perform RF safety measurements, analyze results and report on the findings.

  • Contribute to tasks related to property, calibration, secure room, COMSEC, and other duties related to supporting the team and mission.

Required Skills

  • Diagnose and understand the mechanisms of RF and electronic systems such as solid state transmitters, satellite communications, telemetry, radios or radar systems.

  • Ability to use spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, RF power meters, and/or RF network analyzers to perform electronic maintenance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).

  • Good oral and written communication skills with ability to define procedures and technical manuals.

  • Self-motivated and work effectively with considerable latitude but follow established processes.

  • Work well independently but also as part of a team with a common goal.

Required Experience

  • Associates degree in electronics, RF, other technical field or two year technical schools, or equivalent military experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous military experience including MOS 35T, 25 series, 15E desired.

  • Five (5) years' or more of technical experience.

  • Experience working on technical systems such as avionics, communications, radars, and control systems, desired.

  • Experience with networks, software programming, IT, or system administration, desired.

  • Experienced at building and/or terminating cables such as BNC, N type RF cables, semi-rigid coax, Heliax coax and soldering, desired.

  • Security+, Linux+, Network+, CCENT, and/or CCNA certifications, desired.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Physical ability to move equipment and racks. Physical ability to lift a 120 pound item with other team members.

  • Willingness and physical ability to work aboard a ship at-sea for multiple weeks

  • Physical ability to fit and fly in a helicopter and small aircraft. Must have a waist circumference of 42" or less to ride in helicopters.

  • Physical ability to climb stairs and towers up to 100' with appropriate PPE and training.

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

  • This position is unaccompanied.

  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required.

This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll Essential Functions * Provide operations & maintenance support for L-band and S-band radar hardware systems. * Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various pieces of commercial amd custom hardware. * Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and runs system dignostic software. * Provide support for engineers on implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects. * Assist with assembling, wiring, and bench testing components and subassemblies * Assist in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance * Maintain current spare parts inventory and procures parts as required * Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance performed * Support day-to-day operations to meet radar mission requirements which involves 24 hrs / 7 days a week support. * Perform shift work to support operational tasking * Adhere to Company safety policies, procedures and program. * Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills * Familiar with transmitter high power systems. * Familiar with and able to operate standard electronic test equipment. * Ability to read schematic diagrams, wiring lists, and assembly prints. * Ability to assist with trouble-shooting issues in the transmitter subsystem. * Ability to work well with others in the radar group, including management, to meet mission requirements. * Ability to learn and use standard electronic test equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters (DMM), and insulation testers * Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics * Good written & verbal communication skills * Familiarity with common electric and mechanical test equipment and tools. * General computer literacy using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Required Experience * Associate degree in electronics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Two years or more experience working in an electronics environment with good electronic knowledge. * Experience with hand tools * Climber II Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire (local training and testing provided) Additional Eligibility Qualifications * Willingness and physical ability to work at heights in excess of 50 feet * Willingness and physical ability to carry equipment weighing 50 pounds * Flexibility to work non-duty hours, weekends, nights to support specific project requirements * Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands. * This position is unaccompanied and will reside on Roi. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport * Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
