JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the RFC Facility Maintenance Supervisor, performs skilled and semi-skilled work in most construction and building trades in connection with maintenance and minor construction. The H-F Park District's mission statement is "to enhance the quality of life through diverse recreational opportunities, facilities and parks while caring for the environment".

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide outstanding customer service to our internal and external guests by providing friendly, responsive, courteous and helpful service.

• Performs carpentry, plumbing, painting, maintenance and construction of buildings and equipment.

• Repair and maintenance of electrical wiring, fixtures and other electrical equipment and makes minor repairs on the electrical systems.

• Assists RFC Facility Maintenance Supervisor in working with contractors.

• Operates, repairs and maintains a variety of tools and equipment.

• Equipment and material needs for specific job requirements.

• Works independently and part of a team.

• Become a certified pool operator.

• Conducts and updates inventory.

• Performs preventive maintenance schedule.

• Assist RFC Facility Maintenance Supervisor in the supervision and training of part-time staff.

• Performs custodial duties as required.

• Submits daily reports of work performed.

• Must adhere to safety practices associated with specific job related tasks.

• To assist RFC Facility Maintenance Supervisor on cost control, repair and replacement schedules, budgets, etc.

• Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual, Policy and Procedure Handbook and Employee Manual.

• Other related job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Minimal high school graduate.

• Experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

• Knowledge of H.V.A.C. systems.

• CPR/AED, First Aid Certified or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work nights and weekends.
