The Radio Frequency (RF) Survivability Engineer is responsible for performing survivability analysis with respect to Radar based threats to vertical lift aircraft. This position requires effective management of tasks, schedule and budget in support of combat aircraft design, development and test. This position is located at Bell's Fort Worth, Texas facility.
Perform Radio Frequency (RF) signature analysis for military aircraft using various computational software tools.
Collaborate with other Bell Engineers to effectively integrate RF signature reduction design features to include aircraft shape and special materials.
Collaborate with other Bell Engineers, US government personnel and vendors of Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) to effectively integrate Radar Warning and RF Counter-Measure (RFCM) systems.
Present design and analysis results to both internal and external audiences.
Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering which includes analysis of Electro-Magnetic (EM) fields.
Master's Degree is preferred with experience in Radar, Radar Cross Section (RCS) and/or RF antenna design and performance.
At least 2 years' experience in Survivability
Experience with one or more of the following analytical software tools is preferred:
Radar Signature Analysis Xpatch, Carlos, SWITCH, SENTRi, Aurora or other frequency-domain codes.
CAD / Meshing CATIA, Hypermesh, Patran, Cubit, or similar
Antenna Analysis WIPL-D, CST MWS, HFSS, Feko, or frequency-domain codes.
Electronic Warfare and Weapon Simulations ALARM, AMBER, STIM, ESAMS, RADGUNS or similar.
Mission / Operations Analysis AFSIM, ATCOM, AGI STK or similar.
Experience with RF material properties and test methods is preferred.
Candidate must have an aptitude for in-depth computational analysis.
