Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for operating RF characterization automated testers, providing test data summaries for high-performance front-end products. Products include power amplifiers, filters, antenna plexers, RF switches, and RF duplexers typically used in the fast-paced, high-volume cellular market. This role plays a critical part in product realization; he/she will work closely with the Validation Engineers and Test Development teams, conducting datasheet-related testing, data preparation, and presentation in the final stages of product development.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering activities such as design, test, and assembly of prototype RF modules.

• Collect bench data for RF module characterization and ATE correlation.

• Performs analysis and summarizes data using Excel and other in-house tools.

• Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions.

• Sets up new test benches based on existing documentation or guidance from test engineers.

• Reviews and understands test automation scripts.

• Optimizes tester efficiency to reduce idle time by managing test queue.

• Uses test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to oscilloscopes, DMMs, Signal generators/Analyzers, VNAs, and specialized testers.

Required Experience and Skills:

• An Associate degree and four years of relevant experience.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with RF test equipment: multi-meter, spectrum analyzer, VNA, oscilloscope, signal generators, power meter, power supplies, etc.

• Excellent communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions

• Must be able to use good judgment and exhibit practical problem-solving skills

• Experience with MS Office and Windows OS

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $59,600 - $104,100 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
