Description:RF Hardware Engineering Manager within the Electrical Engineering department supporting the Radar and EW business areas. Possible assignments include RF Design, Development, and RF System Integration and Test.
Manages staffing, resource allocation, progress tracking, develops and maintains technical and process expertise within the unit, technical domain, and Center of Excellence domain. Provides/coordinates technical support, design, analysis, modeling, test, evaluation, troubleshooting of products including exciters, receivers, and front-end RF signal processor and conditioner hardware. Interface with Program Management across the Market segments to understand and develop proposals, requirements, and designs in support of program goals.
Administer and executes policies and procedures that affect subordinate employees. Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans while achieving program cost and technical objectives. Develops work assignments, assesses performance.
Selected candidate must have leadership experience in a technical engineering role or in a functional management role. Knowledge and experience with the RMS Common processes for hardware or firmware development preferred.
Working knowledge of one or several of the following skills - RF Chain Analysis, RFSoC, Antenna Design, Transmitters, Exciter/Receivers. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Experience with full life cycle system or hardware development.
Knowledge of Earned Value Management and tracking practices preferred. Accountable for ensuring organization staff achieves applicable program and business commitments (technical, cost, and schedule). Demonstrated ability to proactively establish and execute program commitments including EV metrics, Technical Performance Metrics, and Mission Success Milestones.
Leadership experience in a challenging technical role is desired. In addition candidate must have the ability to hire and develop staff to meet long term vision of business requirements and employee growth.
Participate in, oversee, and contribute to groups design engineering activities. Manage design engineers, making functional assignments for best use of the staff to support all Product Engineering program needs. Communicates Center of Excellence (COE) long term vision (people, process, tools) within unit.
Ensures critical resources are applied in alignment with overall business priorities and coordinate staffing changes with appropriate Program Organizations. Management of all above functions to include compliance to Corporate and RMS standards, processes, and requirements.
