We are looking for an RF Engineer who can innovate to help propel our next-generation products into our customers' wireless landscapes throughout the world. You would be primarily responsible for leveraging your RF engineering expertise to find solutions to the connectivity problems faced by law enforcement and public safety professionals. Ideally, you have a high level of comfort designing and integrating RF hardware subsystems across a wide range of technologies, like Wifi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and 3GPP, understand the technical and practical limitations of their application and design, and know how to characterize and test these systems so connected products can perform in the field without a hitch.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of RF design experience
Designs RF subsystems, including selection of chip-down or module based RF transceiver solutions and their supporting circuits (filters, power amplifiers, diplexers, RF switches, and passives).
Proficient in selecting and evaluating antennas
Hands-on experience with Dual-Band Wifi, Bluetooth, GNSS, 3GPP design, optimization and debug.
Solid experience with both conducted and radiated aspects of RF system design, characterization, and test
Acquires and interprets Smith charts, S-parameter plots, and other data to optimize components, traces, and impedance matching networks in RF transceiver circuits
Troubleshoots RF subsystems and devises solutions for issues that impact connectivity performance, such as de-sense and emissions.
Proficient in testing wireless technologies to industry standards, as well as designing and performing tests for non-standard wireless platforms.
Familiar with trade-offs and challenges of integrating multiple RF transceivers into body-worn, mobile, and stationary products.
Experience working within cross-functional teams to ensure smooth RF, electrical , mechanical, and firmware integration
Designs to regulatory and industry standards (FCC, CE, IEEE, CTIA, etc)
Uses schematic capture tools, preferably OrCAD
Familiar with RF layout requirements and best practices
Writes test procedures to verify design performance
Designs products to enterprise quality standards
Designs for manufacturing and test
Uses various lab test and measurement equipment (VNA, VSG/VSA, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, etc) for measuring and verifying RF system performance
Master's degree in engineering
PCB, printed, or metal antenna design experience is a plus
Simulates & analyzes RF circuitry and performance
