Our innovative team in Longmont, CO are designing and deploying industry leading satellite mechanisms, deployable structures, solar array systems and space antennas to the global space market. We have an opportunity for a Senior or above RF Engineer at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of RF architectures, design new systems and see them through the development life cycle. We are building active RF systems for new space-based communications architectures. You will interface with customers, subcontractors, and the project team to guide the technical development of the RF active system.
As a Senior RF Engineer or higher you will be responsible for:
Developing RF antenna architectures based on customer requirements
Translate architecture to a design and build plan
Developing component level active and passive RF designs including microwave circuit design
Participation and oversight of design, assembly, and test of RF apertures
Ensure the delivered hardware meets internal and external stakeholder expectations
Interact with external customers, subcontractors, and the project technical team to guide technical development through strong communication and collaboration
Some occasional travel may be required
Ideal Experience
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 or more years' of experience designing and manufacturing RF systems or Master's Degree with 3 years' of experience may be substituted
Experience performing satellite level analysis and presenting standard technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, etc.)
Prior experience in space-based RF/microwave communications systems
Experience with RF modeling software (HFSS, ADS, etc.)
Experience with antenna range measurements, data manipulation and visualization
Experience working/communicating with customers to manage expectations and project scope
Previous experience developing technical work plans for new/continuous product development, including estimation of required resources
Experience with risk management activities and strategies
US Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a security clearance
Desired Skills
Strongly desire experience with the antenna design, manufacturing and testing life cycle
Strongly desire writing requirement and establishing appropriate verification criteria
Demonstrated experience writing technical proposal documentation and related technical reports
Experiencing with all aspects of microwave testing and test equipment

Pay Range
$105,000 - $190,000

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
