Essential Job Functions: 1. Follow standard operating procedures as well as written and verbal orders and instructions in English. 2.

Lift up to 75 lbs. and be in good physical condition. Standing, bending, climbing, crawling, and lying on hard surfaces as well as upper body and back strength required. 3. Follow all company policies and procedures as stated in the company policy and safety manual including wearing safety glasses, ear protection, and steel toed shoes. 4.

Able to work in a noisy environment. 5. Work overtime as needed, through break or noon lunch when needed. 6. Actively pursue cost reduction measures. 7.

Perform all assigned tasks within specific time limits and company standards. 8. Must be able to read a tape measure. 9. Must comply with all safety regulations regarding the work area, the product and equipment.

Recognize and report all safety discrepancies to your supervisor. 10. Able to develop a thorough knowledge of all aspects of this field including products, options, and uses. 11. Shows a willingness to work beyond assigned duties, is a team player, self-motivated, a motivator, and demonstrates good judgement in work habits. 12.

Possess a positive work ethic, is detail oriented, and able to adapt to a wide range of duties, sometimes on short notice. 13. Ability to possess knowledge of assembly, plumbing, and electrical systems. 14.

Able to learn to read and fully comprehend complex electrical schematic diagrams and possesses some knowledge of complete truck chassis electrical system including charging or starting and load management systems.

Installation and troubleshooting of problem areas. 15. Can acquire a basic knowledge of electronic controls used on transmission and engines. 16. Some use and knowledge of clamp on ammeter, multimeters, dielectric test equipment and load back required. 17.

Able to learn to read specs in a shop order and change orders, if needed. 18. Assist team members in maintaining good housekeeping practices in Final Inspection as well as maintaining sufficient stock of necessary materials, parts, and supplies in order to meet the production schedule. 19. Be knowledgeable of the status of jobs in progress by other members of the team. 20.

Possess some experience from outside of the company or has plumbing, electrical, and assembly background. 21. Ability and willingness to train new and existing employees. 22. Willingness to share department and company knowledge as needed.

Daily Functions: 1. Mount equipment on trucks using hand tools.

Requires wrist strength. 2. Wiring equipment. 3. Troubleshoot and diagnose problems. 4. Help design, manufacture, and assemble any necessary items to complete assigned tasks.

Potential Hazards: 1. Shock: electrical charge can occur if equipment is not used correctly. 2.

Eye injuries: required to wear eye protection. 3. Cuts & burns: wiring terminals have heat shrink coating and require a torch to shrink fit. Residue becomes as hot as the torch.

Sharp objects on trucks many cause cuts. 4. Trips, slips, & falls: ensure all air hoses and obstacles are kept clear of aisles. Use caution when climbing on and off trucks.

Make sure all ladders and step stools are used correctly and for their designed purpose. 5. Repetitive motion: make sure hand tools are being used properly.

This position requires individuals with strong mechanical abilities. They perform work with hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical components of the truck. Individuals in this position are required to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Mount hydraulic valves and components. * Install diamond plate and trim to turntable. * Mount torque box to chassis. * Mount superstructure to chassis. * Mount outrigger structure to chassis. * Install and mount small components (i.e. rung covers, side rollers, rasp assembly and slide pads, etc.) to ladder, truck and turntable. * Run power cables and harnesses. * Mount electrical components. * Run hydraulic hoses. * All bolts above ½" must be torque to specifications. * Complete pinning of cylinders. * Assist with and perform duties defined in all levels of assembly positions. * Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or equivalent experience * Ability to use basic hand and power tools. * Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines. * Ability to retain and apply instructions. * High School Diploma, GED or equivalent * Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals. * Strong mechanical aptitude and abilities. * Knowledge of Hydraulic valves, pumps, cylinders and hosing * Knowledge of 12 and 110 volt wiring * Experience building mobile equipment or truck assembly is benifical. * Must be very detail orientated. * Ability to read and understand trucks specifications document * Ability to use and maintain equipment * Ability to read, communicate and understand in English * Ability to assess and apply the best process to complete the project. * May assist with the training of associates. * Self sufficient, self motivated * Ability to work under extreme pressure and tight time tables. * Work overtime on short notice * Embrace change * Basic computer skills * Ability to work within safety guidelines * Must be self-motivated * Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks This job description is intended to outline those functions typically performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
