Revenue Recognition Accountant

Avid Technology is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our Global Finance and Accounting team based at our Worldwide Headquarters in Burlington, MA. This is a terrific opportunity for a finance professional to join a leading media and entertainment technology organization. This position reports directly to the Revenue Recognition Supervisor (Remote).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Review and documentation of commercial sales contracts, identifying non-standard terms, and support compliance with applicable authoritative literature

• Review and analyze transaction data processed through the company's revenue recognition system

• Monthly and quarterly close activities, revenue accounting entries, analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Responsible for the preparation, documentation and management of certain key internal controls to ensure SOX compliance

• Support audit activities and audit preparation

• Review and analysis of pricing and SSP

• Adhere to accounting policies and procedures and additional ad hoc activities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent business degree

• 1 to 3 years of Accounting experience preferred

• ASC 606, 985-605 experience preferred

• ERP system skills including SAP, NetSuite, Domo systems preferred

• Strong operational, organizational, and analytical skills required

• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

US Pay Transparency Range $64,800.00 - $75,000.00
