Job Category QuinStreet is seeking a highly qualified Revenue Manager as a key member of the Finance and Accounting team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Revenue Manager will be responsible for managing the billing and revenue team, reviewing complex revenue transactions as well as continually refining our revenue recognition policies and process. You will provide direction on technical revenue accounting issues and explain the accounting impact to your partners on various teams, including Sales, Legal, and Finance during the contract negotiation process. You will have ownership over the revenue accruals and commission payment process. Responsibilities * Manage the revenue recognition process from the contract review phase to financial statement disclosure. * Drive revenue and cost of revenue month-end close processes by creating and validating accruals, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring policy compliance, and developing standard reports. * Assist in monthly revenue, deferred revenue, backlogs analytics that are useful for management review of actual results against expectations. * Provide technical guidance, training, and support to the Finance, Legal, and Sales teams. * Assist in managing internal control testing for revenue and commission processes * Prepare revenue accounting memos and policy in compliance with US GAAP Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required * CPA preferred * Requires a minimum three to five years of relevant revenue accounting experience * Ability to self-start and self-direct work * Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills * Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (excel will be used extensively) * Excellent analytical, quantitative and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and to solve problems with minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment; comfortable dealing with people at all levels of the organization * Exceptional attention to detail * Positive attitude * Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures * Highly motivated and able to thrive under pressure * Great teammate, with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and owns accountability QuinStreet is an equal opportunity employer.
