Responsibilities

Hospital Charge Master (CDM):

  • Accountable for:

  • Maintaining and updating hospital charge master

  • Review, identify, and analyze necessary CPT changes related to quarterly and annual AMA CPT updates and HSCRC regulations including:

  • Revenue codes

  • HSCRC Rate Centers

  • Approved Rate / Price Compliance

  • Assist with price changes as needed

  • Ad hoc requests as needed

Revenue Integrity:

  • Monitor and assist with review of revenue cycle work queues in EPIC.

  • Analyze billing errors and denial data to identify root cause of issues.

  • Work with Revenue Integrity Team, Clinical Operations and Patient Financial Services staff to implement corrective actions to ensure compliant charges, prevent future rejections/denials and accurate and reimbursement.

  • Ad hoc requests as needed

Abstract Submission:

  • Assists with process of submission of state mandated abstract reports.

  • Assists with coordination of affected departments, including Medical Records, Admitting and Patient Accounting to ensure tape data integrity

  • Complete abstract reconciliations and modifications as needed. Including:

  • Working with IT to make needed changes to the data pull to remain in compliance with HSCRC regulation.

  • Attending HSCRC meetings in person or virtually when abstract data is reviewed.

  • Maintain reconciliation of abstract data within DI, working with Data team.

  • Accountability for timely, complete, and accurate monthly & quarterly submissions.

Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

  • Must demonstrate clear aptitude and desire to work in an environment requiring analytical skills

  • Healthcare experience preferred

  • Epic experience preferred
