We want you on our team...Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Full-time, day shift Revenue Integrity Specialist to join our Health Information and Management Department. This position will work between Clark Regional Medical Center and Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, KY (housed at Bourbon Community) and will be responsible for ensuring all appropriate billing charges are being captured, documented, charged and reimbursed for the assigned departments and facilities in accordance with policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory standards and requirements.

Essential functions for position include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for reviewing and maintaining charge description master (CDM), and/or other pertinent regulations and policies, ensuring all data elements are accurate and comply with all payor requirements.

  • Resolves issues that arise from information submitted and revenue cycle issues

  • Provides validation reviews, audits, documentation and training for the area of knowledge, sharing information with Finance, Medical Records and other revenue producing areas or departments.

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action

Education:

  • Two years of college, preferred

This is a full-time, day shift position splitting your time between Clark Regional Medical Center and Bourbon Community Hospital, Paris, KY where you will direct the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: * Manage and direct the activities of the pharmacy department, in the absence of the Director of Pharmacy * Assists in departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives * Assists in the staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives * Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits * Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth * Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols * Requires critical thinking skills, detail oriented with decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be flexible with work location assignments Education: * Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy, required * Doctor of Pharmacy Degree, preferred * At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience or completion of 1 year post-graduate residency, preferred Licensure/Certifications: * Valid current Kentucky state license to practice pharmacy; good standing * Basic Life Support (BLS), required - American Heart Assoc * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Lifepoint Hospitals Bel Air KY
