General Summary of Job Duties

The Revenue Auditor is responsible for the daily audit of gaming and non-gaming paperwork. Auditor will ensure the accuracy of all gaming and non-gaming documents.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain a high quality of guest service according to Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. Mission Statement and F.A.S.T. Track Values Statement.

  • Accurate, Detailed Auditing of Daily Paperwork

  • Filing of Audit Paperwork in Accordance with Department Procedures.

  • Accurate Alpha Numeric Data Entering audited information into EXCEL spreadsheets.

  • Obtain Daily Paperwork from Various Locations weighing up to 5 lbs.

  • Provide Good Internal Customer Service to other Departments.

  • Read Machine Meters as required.

  • Daily Scanning of Coupons.

  • Investigate, Research and Problem Solve Variances.

  • Adaptable to constant change to company and or industry procedures.

  • Other related duties including but not limited to complying with the following; Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures, Colorado Liquor and Beer Codes, Federal requirements for Anti-Money Laundering, Company Policies, and IRS reporting.

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.

  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.

  • Maintain an open line of communication with Management.

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Employees, and Vendors.

  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.

  • Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

  • Must be fluent in English with strong communication skills.

  • Must have strong mathematical and 10-Key skills.

  • Must have basic computer skills, including good Outlook and Excel skills.

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Communication skills that reflect a welcoming and friendly attitude towards coworkers and other department staff members.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to function as part of a team and remain calm and professional when under pressure or high stress situations.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience.

  • Must have 1-2 yrs. Casino gaming experience with Slot drop knowledge and experience.

  • Must possess a valid Colorado Gaming License.

Perform audits as assigned which includes, but is not limited to, table games revenue, slots revenue, hotel revenue, food and beverage revenue, Cage and kiosk activity, and any future revenue generating outlet, as well as maintain compliance with company and regulatory procedures. Maintain a clear understanding of the audits and completes them within standardized time frames. Must be able to cross train in all audits. Must be able to work with the appropriate departments; with the goal being to enhance their ability to minimize errors. Responsibilities * Completes audits as assigned. * Prepare exception reports for instances of non-compliance with operational practices. Then engage Team Members to train them appropriately to mitigate future occurrences. * Prepare and accumulate information used to prepare the Daily Operating Report. * Prepare journal entries to record daily revenue and/or cashier activity. * Thorough knowledge of ICMP's with respect to job duties and an ability to explain them to others. What are we looking for? * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Fully competent in Microsoft Excel. * 10-key calculator skills required. * Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. * Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues. * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. * Highly organized and detail-oriented. * Completion of introductory college or high school level accounting courses highly preferred. * At least six (6) months' previous audit, accounting or cashier experience preferred. * Able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
