SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to complete all daily audits in a timely and accurate manner. This includes, but is not limited to, auditing daily revenue and activity for the Slots, Table Games, Cage and Food and Beverage departments at Indian Head Casino, and daily Plateau Travel Plaza Convenience Store revenue, Restaurant revenue, kiosk, and Count Room Vault auditing and accounting.

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Slot audit on a daily basis. This includes recording progressive meter readings and inputting the amounts into an Excel spreadsheet; updating all information in Advantage Machine Accounting; verifying machine changes, meter amounts (correcting variances as needed), entering manual meters, jackpots and hand pays, drop amounts, vouchers and any other item that may be part of this daily audit. Verify, balance and print reports. Resolve all Slot machine issues and/or problems.

  • Work closely with other departments such as Slots, Count Team, and Cage etc. to ensure that all information submitted for audit is complete and correct.

  • Perform daily audits for Cage, Table Games and Food and Beverage outlets. Complete all supporting spreadsheets. Track, verify and resolve all employee variances.

  • Perform daily audits for the Plateau Travel Plaza revenue operations (Convenience Store/Gas, Restaurant) and for the Kiosk and Count Room Vault.

  • Verify all documentation for slot machine additions, removals, movements and changes. This documentation is provided by the Slot Techs as these incidents occur. Once verified, the documentation will be forwarded to Accounting.

  • Complete close of day, end of week, month-end, quarter-end and year-end procedures as directed for both Indian Head Casino and the Plateau Travel Plaza.

  • Monitor and record the issuance of controlled documents.

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all software applications used by Indian Head Casino and the Plateau Travel Plaza. Must maintain a complete understanding of all Warm Springs Indian Head Casino and Plateau Travel Plaza Internal Controls.

  • Accurately audit all tax documentation on a daily basis, including, but not limited to, W2Gs, 1042Ss and 1099s.

  • Assist internal departments and external agencies as needed. This will be done with the highest level of professionalism and integrity while providing the highest level of service and support. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and departmental regulations, policies and procedures at all times.

  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • One-year related experience preferred (experience with Table Games and/or Cage audits, Title 31 and/or W2Gs).

  • Knowledge of casino operations preferred.

  • Knowledge of convenience store/gas operations a plus.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, fractions, percentages and ratios to achieve practical solutions required.

  • Proficient computer skills required or be able to learn them quickly; must be proficient with spreadsheets and reports or be able to learn them quickly. Must have 10-key skills or be able to learn them quickly.

  • Excellent communications skills are essential. This includes verbal, written and listening skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, management and guests while providing excellent service to internal and external customers. Must maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Must establish and maintain excellent working relationships with representatives of all departments, regulators, outside auditors and/or vendors.

  • Must work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to complete work in a timely, accurate and organization manner and skill in solving practical problems and deal effectively with situations where only limited standardization exists.

Physical Demands:

  • Some lifting and carrying is required. Lifting items weighing as much as 60 pounds may be required, but this should occur rarely, i.e., less than 15% of the time.

  • This position requires reaching, manipulating and keyboard operation (typing).

  • This position requires sitting, stooping, standing, bending and walking.

Working Conditions:

  • This job is typically performed under very comfortable working conditions; disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal job performance.

  • Must adhere to company attendance standards; that is, report to work as scheduled, punctually and to work all scheduled hours including overtime as needed.

  • Must observe and comply with all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of any and all safety equipment provided. Must practice safety at all times.

Special Requirements:

  • Must maintain a valid Oregon driver's license.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Must submit to and pass a drug/alcohol screening test.

  • Must submit to and pass an Oregon State background investigation.

  • Must work weekends and holidays as needed.

Hourly employee incentive: This an hourly paid position, it would qualify to additional pay (differential wage) based on hours worked outside the regular Monday-Friday 9m-5pm.
