Description

  • Draft and Review contracts for revenue recognition compliance in accordance with ASC-605 & ASC-606.

  • Prepare contract summaries to highlight revenue recognition issues and non-standard terms.

  • Partner with Legal, Sales, and the Operations teams on deal and price structuring to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and the company's revenue recognition and operations policies.

  • Work on the implementation of ASC 606 (New Revenue Standard) across functions such as IT and Accounting and with external consultants by Ad-Hoc project work/validations.

  • Provide revenue recognition guidance and informal training to the Legal, Finance and Operations teams as required.

  • Work closely with Legal to standardize revenue-generating contracts that meet company's objectives for revenue recognition and operations.

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for the contract approval process.

  • Prepare data and other support information as needed for audits and reviews conducted by external auditors.

Skills:

  • US GAAP REVENUE RECOGNITION CONTRACT REVIEW EXPERIENCE A MUST

  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams from Finance/Accounting, Sales, Legal, the Business Units and Operations

  • Must be proactive and able to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Effective interpersonal skills (oral and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel

  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com a plus

  • Display characteristics that represent: Genuine, Innovative, Exceptional, & Involved

Education:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
  • CPA a plus
