As a Revenue Analyst, you play a crucial role in analyzing, managing, and optimizing an organization's revenue streams. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, assessing revenue streams, identifying trends, and recommending strategies to maximize revenue generation. You have an excellent aptitude for problem-solving, with the ability to approach complex issues analytically and develop creative solutions. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, you will be assisting in evaluating and executing strategies to maximize hotel revenue both in Average Daily Rate (ADR) and guest incidental spending. Knowledge of reservation systems and revenue management systems is advantageous as you will assist in developing recommended rates and manage inventory and availability to ensure maximum potential stay through. You have strong proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, particularly revenue performance data, to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
You will support the resort's yield efforts by inputting and validating all required data for daily, weekly, and monthly reports used for monitoring performance against budget and forecast. You will assist with the development of the annual budget and monthly forecasts. You will also be responsible for compiling data and metrics in various reporting tools to support better decisions across the business. You will use the knowledge gained from data analysis to develop and recommend potential revenue opportunities. You will maintain rate and package codes within the Property Management System, online booking engine, Sea Island website, and all third-party rate distribution channels (OTA's) to ensure documentation of all booking details for both internal and external (guest) consumption and validate parity across all channels. You will take the lead in preparing documents for the Weekly Revenue Meetings, providing data in terms of pricing, availability, market demand, and promotional opportunities for all segments and channels of the business.
You will collaborate with various departments (Marketing, Conference Sales, Reservations, Group Reservations, and Front Office) to ensure accurate reporting, forecast revenue, and develop actionable insights to drive business growth. You will be communicating revenue management strategies, assist with planning and execution of new rate codes, promotions, and marketing campaigns, and monitor group block utilization, particularly group pickup activity, to ensure backfill of released rooms and forecast accuracy.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hotel Management or related field. Emphasis in hotel revenue management concepts and tools preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including the ability to manipulate data for reporting purposes
Knowledge of business intelligence tools, pivot tables, and Power Business Intelligence a plus
Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to sit at a computer workstation for prolonged periods of time and utilize different communication devices such as phone or other electronic devices
Ability to maintain compliance with Sea Island's Company Resort Professional Image Policy
