Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting

What You Will Be Doing

As a Revenue Accountant, you will analyze revenue transactions and continually refine revenue recognition policies. You will collaborate with various teams including Sales, Finance and Legal to identify, shape, and appropriately account for revenue. As a key player in our Finance team, you will be encouraged and empowered to challenge the status quo when something is broken.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Build cross-functional working relationships within the company and provide technical guidance, training, and support to the Finance, Legal and Sales teams.

• Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and adhere to GAAP.

• Own and drive efficiency in assigned areas

• Take responsibility for assigned areas and career growth

• Implement new procedures to streamline revenue processes

• Complete and analyze SOX controls and related work streams

• Gain a solid understanding of business transactions and accounting flow, while identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to revenue processes, including reporting, data gathering, analysis and enhancement of existing processes for efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, or related field.

• 2+ years' US GAAP software and hardware revenue recognition experience and familiarity with US GAAP ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting guidance.

• 2+ years' experience within a large public accounting firm and/or related industry revenue accounting experience.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues to management.

• Self-starter, Flexible and Proactive in all aspects of your responsibilities

• Ability to complete all assigned work on time to meet public company deadline requirements

• Complex analytic problem solving and project management skills.

• Excel power user - must demonstrate advanced Excel skills

• Experience in financial analysis and/or business modeling including multiple element accounting

• CPA (preferred but not required) or Master Degree.
