Monitors analyzes and improves financial system operations for assigned units in the Revenue Cycle /Patient Access department i.e. Revenue Cycle, Operations Patient Access and Denial Management. Conducts operational studies utilizing data collection and advanced unit knowledge to proactively trouble shoot problems and improve systems and the performance of the relating staff. Performs unit financial functions of a complex and specialized nature requiring the application and interpretation of policies and procedures. Serves as a lead and expert for answering questions related to specific Revenue Cycle functions and operations. Evaluates trends and provides. root cause analysis for quality improvement strategies.
Reviews and analyzes revenue cycle operations patient access and denial management errors and corrects processes appropriately.
Coordinates the gathering organizing and verifying of demographic patient insurance and financial information to identify problems and deficiencies.
Serves as subject matter expert of information relating to Revenue Cycle Insurance Requirements audits
Provides Support and Guidance to users Supervisors Managers
Completes Quality Assessment and Root Cause Analysis.
Corrects and improves any related revenue Cycle l policies and procedures problems.
Maintains advanced and current working knowledge of relating policies and procedures.
Performs area-specific support activities including technical lead and training duties of staff.
Supports other Revenue Cycle functions including assisting the Cash Collections Internal Auditor.
Position Compensation Range: $16.31 - $25.28 Hourly
Education: Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: 2 years relevant experience required in a relating financial health services environment. Experience in registration, insurance referrals, or billing preferred.
Licensure: None required.
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods and repetitive motion: PC. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.
