We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the extra mile philosophy to fulfill our Retread Supervisor role.

The Retread Plant Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Plant Manager with any day-to-day operations at our Snider Commercial Retread Tire Plant in order to guarantee successful plant production and efficiency. You are capable of performing any plant production post, as well as able to train individuals in all zones (Zones 1-3). Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are vital for this role, as good teamwork is important for our business and production to grow.

What Youll Do on a Typical Day:

  • Assist the Plant manager in reaching the plants daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals.

  • Assist the Plant Manager with the implementation and evaluation of all plant operational practices to maximize production and reduce production costs.

  • Ensures plant accomplishes annual cost and income objectives by conducting the following: reaches cost per unit goal, exceeds customer service expectations, and manages turn times/product flow.

  • Communicates with Plant Manager on manufacturing maintenance needs and services.

  • Coordinates with plant employees on maintaining inventory usage and waste according to company standards.

  • Enforces and maintains production schedule, which is created by the Plant Manager.

  • Conducts daily reviews of the BibTread system, facility, workstations, and equipment in order to ensure safety, compliance, cleanliness, and organization are met.

  • Subject matter expert on all production posts and cross-trains employees, as needed.

  • Assist Plant Manager with maintaining up to date employee administrative files, including Zone Certifications, forklift safety, etc.

  • Enforces manufacturing quality control to ensure finished goods are aligned with Snider and customer standards.

  • Assist the Plant Manager with hiring, retention, training, productivity, compensation matrix, and professional development of employees.

  • Ensures all retread staff is proficient in iBot Training.

  • Assist Plant Manager with generating reports through MaddenCo and BibTread system.

  • Assist Plant manager with P&L, employee payroll/overtime, and overall expenses.

  • Ensure plant has sufficient resources such as personnel, material, and equipment.

  • Follow the Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) process to ensure production compliance.

  • Assume the responsibilities of the Plant Manager on as needed basis.

  • Follow all safety rules, wear proper PPE, and demonstrate safety conscious mindset.

  • Demonstrate excellent attendance, show up to work on time and in the correct uniform.

  • Adheres to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.

Work will be a combination of office and manufacturing/distribution setting. This will be at one of our commercial retread and/or TRACS facilities. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, interacts with moving mechanical parts/equipment, and the noise level at the service center is usually moderate to high.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Education or Experience:

  • Associate's Degree in Business or other related fields; four-year degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 2 years' experience within the industry or a related management position.

  • Responsibility and experience managing P&L is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Paylocity and AS400 software is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Commercial TIA certification preferred.

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma (SME) preferred.

  • Forklift certification, obtained after employment.

  • Retread Zone 1, 2, & 3 certifications preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

  • Safety conscious at all times.

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, Paylocity, BTN, etc.)

  • Must have strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as close attention to detail.

  • Ability to cycle inventory, run reports, and communicate with upper management.

  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.

  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and time constraints.

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and client base.

  • Ability to understand the top 30 customers portfolio, as well as the top 10 potential.

  • Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Demonstrate proficient analytical thinking and business insight.

  • Requires the ability to identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented fast-paced environment.

  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.

  • Must exemplify sound decision-making skills and be able to adapt quickly to changing conditions.

  • Must possess the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions, solve problems, and resolve conflict.
