Job Summary: Responsible for new business development for retirement plan services. This includes prospecting activities, referral relationship development, sales strategy development/planning and Retirement team coordination in order to sell new clients. The Retirement Consultant must excel in all areas of the Retirement Business and show a history of selling success (5 + years). Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST's Character Qualities.

Essential Functions:

  • All expectations described in the job description's essential functions are necessary to be successful in this role, performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Design and implementation of the target market - potential client tracking & reporting process.

  • Proactive sales contact with potential new clients as identified through target market strategy.

  • Guides sales strategies for each client toward a decision.

  • Oversees execution of team's sales strategy for each new client.

  • Ensures that commitments made to clients are approved and able to be fulfilled.

  • Management and direct responsibility for the Plan Professional & IRIS data bases.

  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns and assist in planning INTRUST events.

  • Direct responsibility for sales contact follow-up with prospects attending events.

  • Collaboration with INTRUST's commercial banking teams.

  • Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with industry leaders, third party recordkeeping platform providers and third-party administrators.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years Retirement sales (or similar) experience.

Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills, required. Must display outstanding needs based selling skills. Excellent client communication skills, both written and oral are a must.

Required Licenses and/or Certifications: Industry designations are encouraged and a plus.

Physical Demands: Extended period(s) of time may be spent viewing a personal computer, sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. The physical demands necessary for this role should be performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions. Significant car travel through a three state and occasional regional geographic area.
