Territory: New England and Eastern Midwest (OH/MI)

The Retirement Plan Consultant primary responsibilities are:

  • Build and Maintain local relationships with Plan Sponsor clients, including regular on-site visits to discuss ways to improve plan success and promote plan to eligible employees

  • Coordinate, promote and present at employee education and enrollment meetings, encouraging employees to participate and maximize contributions to their plan Responsible for increasing plan participation, contribution rates and asset transfers.

  • Responsible for promoting plan awareness amongst plan participants and building client satisfaction for newly sold clients and existing clients.

  • Partner and strategize with internal and external business partners to develop presentations that target client needs and align with plan design.

  • Attend and present the value of the AXA platform at point of sale meets with plan sponsor prospects. These may be presentations to individual owner/officers, or company board members



  • The ideal candidate will have proven success in driving business growth through prepared, concise and persuasive retirement presentations in a variety of settings.

  • Strong ability to communicate success strategy with Plan Sponsors (Owner, CFO, HR Directors etc) and promote value add of AXA platform- leveraging plan and participant technology, participant service center capabilities, available education material and regular on-site visits to review progress and further engagement.

  • Familiarity with defined contribution recordkeeping systems

  • Efficient territory management (travel required)

  • Bilingual Spanish a plus

  • Series 6,63, AND Life and Health Insurance Licenses

  • Extensive knowledge of qualified retirement plans rules, regulations, industry trends

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Proven ability to increase plan sponsor and participant engagement with AXA platform

  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with Retirement Plans and/or retirement products

  • Valid driver's license is required

Handles day-to-day administration of company equity compensation plans. Monitors retirement plan regulation and legislation and makes recommendations to improve plan operations. 1. Leads the evaluation, administration and compliance aspects of company retirement plans (qualified and non-qualified defined contribution and defined benefit plans). 2. Monitors and analyzes company benefit data to track costing and assist in spend/budget discussions. 3. Develops and runs data queries to help manage benefit plans; includes queries via PeopleSoft. 4. Maintains communications with external providers to ensure proper compliance, service and administration of plan 5. Assists in retirement plan audits through data support and providing written response to the auditor. 6. Monitors current trends, compliance and legislative requirements within the retirement plans industry; makes recommendations to align and/or improve company plans, programs and operations. 7. Responds to inquiries from within and outside the company; resolves issues by researching necessary information. 8. Manages administration and recordkeeping of equity-related programs, stock compensation programs, share repurchase programs and dividend distribution programs. 9. Ensures transactions, communication and reporting of equity-related programs are in compliance with plan documents, legal and financial regulations and internal process controls. 10. Interfaces with plan participants to explain equity awards and related program administration details. 11. Administers the company's equity position and activity through auditing, accounting, reconciliation and reporting. 12. Prepares schedules for external reporting related to equity. #LI-CC1 Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or a related field and four to eight years of benefit plan administration and compliance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 2. Skill in data analysis and financial acumen relating benefit plan administration required. 3. Direct experience with administration of equity compensation plans preferred. 4. Skill in verbal, written and interpersonal communications required. 5. Skill in organization of work and time management in handling multiple projects required. 6. Ability to maintain confidentiality on a routine basis required. 7. Skill with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel) required. 8. Working knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.
