Aon is looking for a Partner, Retirement Strategy and Defined Contribution Plans

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting retirement and human resources strategy, retirement plan administration solutions and strategy, and related consulting. As a Partner, you will report to a Retirement Practice Leader, and you will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across our Retirement practice and firm. Qualified candidates in all major U.S. markets will be considered.

Locations: New York, Boston, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Tampa and Chicago.

Your impact as a Partner

Qualified candidates will be responsible for leading the execution and delivery of consulting to our clients on defined contribution and defined benefit administration strategy. This person will assist in ensuring the retirement plan designs meet organizational, human resources, and strategic needs and objectives. Responsibilities include developing, commercializing, and delivering solutions and strategies in the evolving financial wellbeing marketplace. In addition, this role includes thought leadership topic identification and development, and participation in sales and marketing activities to develop new business and consulting relationships, including requests for proposals, new business presentations, and statements of work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contributions to the strategy and development of thought leadership in retirement plan and broader wellbeing program design and administration

  • Presentations to clients, their trustees, and boards of directors

  • Management of resources, including colleagues, to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Initiative and ownership of all client-related work

  • Coaching and mentoring of junior professionals

  • Proactive and creative support to clients

  • Good judgment and appropriate follow-through with clients, colleagues, investment managers and other service providers to clients

  • Management and delivery of loosely defined and complex practice/research work and client projects

  • Support of the firm's broader services and activities

  • Requires material travel to service clients as strategist and subject matter expert

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience with significant exposure to retirement plan administration, strategy, and design

  • Strong knowledge of the retirement plan administration market, and institutional products, practices, and contacts

  • Detailed knowledge of lifetime income solutions, particularly in the defined contribution retirement plan space

  • Able to effectively influence across market, practice and geographic lines.

  • Strong client leadership skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Collaborative work style and attitude

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree desired and/or equivalent years of industry experience.

This role analyzes and resolves associate relations issues such as attendance, performance management, disciplinary action, policy interpretation, compliance, coworker transitions/separations and crisis management. The Sr Coworker Relations BP will partner with the Business Partner role in the areas of change management, reporting, organizational initiatives, talent planning and business advisement. Key Areas of Responsibility * Act as the lead in conducting internal investigations as required (i.e. harassment/discrimination allegations). * Acts as an internal advisor and coach to provide solutions and analysis on coworker relations matters relating to the business and assigned functions. * Manage CDW FMLA/ Leaves of absence process. * Coaches and advises managers at all levels with respect to interpretation of corporate policy and procedures and business practices. * Provides analysis with trends and themes associated to coworker relations issues. * Partners with necessary stakeholders including CWS Business Partners, Legal, Ethics and Compliance, Safety and Security and other departments as needed in making advanced employee relations decisions and recommendations. * Assists in maintaining all supporting investigation notes, statements and documentation in EthicsPoint. * Acts as the primary interface with senior leadership on all coworker relations issues within respective functional areas * Provides counsel and coaching to coworkers as needed. * Uphold policies that increase retention rates and foster coworkers' morale and engagement. * Act as a strategic business partner to accomplish business unit initiatives and work collaboratively with other CDW departments.
