Retirement Administration Support

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 9 months

Job Description:

  • Provide support in retirement administration.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing requests for pension payments,
  • Reconcile payroll records with pension system,
  • Prepare and review pension calculations and communications,
  • Process incoming paperwork,
  • Prepare directives to pension Trustee for payments,
  • Handle correspondences with pension participants,
  • Assist with projects related to data review and audits.

Other related skills may be required to perform this job.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin., Computer Science, Human Resource Mgt or related area is highly preferred. Three (3) years experience in HR environment or related field. Excellent analytical, organizational, problem resolution, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in current industry standard PC applications and systems ( i.e. Word, Excel, etc.). Working knowledge of applicable HR Laws ( i.e. ERISA, FLSA, OHSA). Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and within established deadlines.

This position will make appropriate contact with each facility to follow up timely on any missing or incomplete records.  The incumbent is responsible for maintaining records on the Shared drive and to properly scan all records into the correct station in our Med Suite billing system. </div> <div> </div> <div> </div> <br /> <strong>Qualifications</strong>  <div> </div> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. </li> </ul> <br /> <strong>Responsibilities</strong>  <div> </div> <ul> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Responsible for receiving OR schedule and anesthesia /pain slips daily from each site.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Responsible for verifying that anesthesia charge record/pain slip is received for each patient on the OR Schedule.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensures that each charge record is complete with provider signatures and appropriate information filled in, and that any errors are reported to supervisor.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Verifies that charge records are in order of schedule and prepares batch header sheet with site/dos/count of patients.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Prepares daily documents accurately and thoroughly and investigates any missing records and notifies Supervisor of any missing records.      </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensures that proper procedures are followed when work is not received.   This entails contacting the indivudual designated to assist with obtaining the information or to contact providers when appropriate.  Also ensures that Electronic correspondence is sent to appropriate staff to advise them that the day is not complete and what action has been taken.    </li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensures that work is scanned into correct station in Med Suite and is as legible as possible</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Responsible for maintaining a copy of all records on the appropriate shared drives.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Must meet weekly deadlines established by CBO and ensure that any deadlines not met are reported to supervisor.</li> <li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Ensures that daily work flow chart is updated each morning and noted with any problems.
