Overview
The IT Retail Systems Analyst II will be responsible for supporting Sprouts Farmers Market's Loyalty, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and other key in-store retail applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Loyalty/POS integrations with E-Commerce and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. Through the use of existing and new technologies, this person will continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support new business opportunities within all store retail systems. Additionally, this person will possess the ability to command small projects and lead requirements gathering sessions with our business partners (internal and external). As a key member of the Retail Systems Team, the Retail Systems Analyst II will provide guidance and mentorship to other team members.
Essential Functions
Facilitates requirements gathering sessions to document business and system requirements, user stories, and refine product backlog; will work with Marketing and Operations Teams to determine functionality of loyalty offers and programs
Under general guidance, develops project plans, manages projects, monitors project performance and develops implementation plans for highly complex technology solutions
Performs the design, testing, deployment, and validation of all retail system configurations, new applications and enhancements
Bridges the gap between Operations and technology solution providers by translating business needs to technical solutions
Provides end-user guidance on the functions and features of all retail systems available to Sprouts Team Members
Stays current with new retail technologies for the purpose of enhancing systems performance, removing friction, and/or improving the Customer/Team Member experience
Research and conducts testing of new software/hardware
Independently analyzes, solves, and corrects issues in real time
Monitors system performance and troubleshoots technical issues
Performs scheduled maintenance and supports release deployment activities after hours
As part of an on-call rotation, provides 24x7 support for critical production systems
Ensures all software releases or code changes follow proper change control processes
Works with IT staff to facilitate upgrades as scheduled and to mitigate system interruptions
Keeps IT management and user community updated with changes in the status of all retail related systems
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering)
5+ years of experience working with Loyalty and POS Systems
5+ years IT experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment
5+ years experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions
Retail systems support experience
Strong understanding of Agile project methodology
Knowledge of ITIL v3 preferred
Working knowledge of SQL queries and databases
