General Summary: To direct the daily activities of the Bergmann Center, Inc. Resale Shop, ensuring maximum revenue and effectiveness.

Duties: Select, train, coach and schedule personnel (staff, volunteers, program participants) to assure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Administer disciplinary action as needed in accordance with policy and procedures and individual plan of service. Ensure a clean, orderly, organized, safe working and shopping environment at all times.

Perform work in a safe manner in accordance to policy, procedure, CARF standards and MIOSHA. Report safety concerns in writing upon discovery to the safety manager. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Ensure merchandise is well-organized and priced appropriately, that signage is clear and maintained, all repairs are properly addressed, and equipment is kept in good repair. Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.

Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios. Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures. Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.

Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

Provide supervision and job skill training to clients, in the areas of cashiering, receiving, sorting, cleaning and pricing, hanging and displaying miscellaneous items. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills/Qualifications:

High school graduate with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in retail sales and/or customer service. Experience working with individuals with mental and physical challenges. Customer Focus, Tracking Budget Expenses, Pricing, Vendor Relationships, Market Knowledge, Staffing, Results Driven, Strategic Planning, Management Proficiency, Client Relationships, Verbal Communication Compliance with HIPPA and required trainings for Community Mental Health providers. Clean criminal history and pass Community Mental Health standards for providers.
