Job Summary:

Markets retail products in an efficient and profitable manner that also creates and maintains a productive and positive relationship and image with the public and grower members.

Job Description:


  • Oversees operations of point of sale terminals; reconciles cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.

  • Downloads data of daily sales and inventory from all stores.

  • Reviews and processes product conversions, transfers, receiving, samples and spoilage.

  • Inputs data into the store's inventory system and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Creates and produce specialty gift items.

  • Oversees the supplies and materials used to produce gift items.

  • Assists in the supervision of the Retail Associates.

  • Assists with item counts and reconciliation of warehouse inventory, including cycle counts.

  • Answers telephone and electronic inquiries.

  • Assists in ordering product from outside vendors.

  • Functions as the "Acting Manager" in the Store Managers absence.

  • Merchandises products creating greater visibility and increased sales.

  • Creates displays for store with seasonal themes.

  • Greets visitors, shows video, and answers questions about the production and marketing of almonds.

Minimum level of education required

  • High School Diploma or GED

Minimum number of year(s) of experience required in addition to education plus type(s) of functional experience

  • 4 years of retail sales experience including merchandising, record keeping, knowledge of financial and inventory control.

Other required type(s) of functional experience (e.g. Production/Operations, Accounting, Forklift Operator, Inventory Control, etc.)

  • Must develop and maintain productive and positive customer and grower relations.

  • Experience creating a productive and positive working environment that is both attractive and customer friendly.

  • Experience using a cash register, telephone, computer, keyboard, fax machine, scale of weights and measures, heat sealer and/or heat gun.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES (Specialized education, specific software experience, etc.)

  • Experience making sound decisions and working under pressure.

  • Experience handling multiple tasks at once, prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy, quality and quantity work performed.


Must be able to stand for long period of time and lift min. of 35 lb. Constant bending, lifting carrying, twisting and grasping. Store/office demands frequent speaking, both in person and by telephone; reading written reports and computer screens; operating computer keyboard and occasional climbing of ladders.


Retail store/office type environment with comfortable climate. Occasional contact with outside elements when loading customer's vehicle with product; cool temperature (65 F) in candy/bulk product production room; warehouse not heated or air-conditioned.


High School/GED: Business Administration/Management (Required)

Position Summary Provide superior customer service and assist in driving store sales across the commercial, retail, and hard parts business. Provide essential task support by partnering with management to make certain that merchandising levels are optimal, inventory control programs are strictly adhered to, pricing modifications are processed timely, and the parts room is maintained to company standards. Direct responsibility for the parts area and play an integral role in general store operations. This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position. Duties & Responsibilities * Under the direction of the Store Manager of Parts, oversee store merchandising activities, maintain standards of appearance, and coordinate and cooperate with associates in the execution of plan-o-grams, overall product presentation, inventory management, pricing, signage and various product initiatives to enhance the customer experience and maximize inventory turns. * Responsible for all aspects of the store's hard parts inventory, parts counter, stock area, and tire room. This includes oversight of proper inventory levels, coordinating with the service and commercial teams for seamless parts delivery, and promptly reacting to the needs of our internal and external customers; measured through various reporting tools, periodic assessments, and management feedback. * Manage the effective operation of the parts area in order to exceed expected sales goals of hard parts to retail, commercial and service customers. Strictly adhere to inventory control programs, in-stock standards, reduction in "outside" parts purchases through secondary vendors, and mark-up maintenance of "special order" merchandise. * Handle the recording and maintaining of DIY warranty registration for parts and monitors "lost sales" resulting from out of stock situations and sales activity of "special order" parts not included in merchandise assortment. * Under the direction of the Store Manager of Parts, participates in "truck-day" operations, cycle counts, audits, and organization of the back room. * Responsible for seamless parts delivery; promptly reacts to the needs of our internal and external customers. * Effectively communicate with all store associates, management, and customers. * Key holder and responsible for basic and detailed opening and closing responsibilities. * Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Valid Driver's License. * Related experience in the automotive service environment is preferred. * Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts. * Strong verbal communication skills. * Strong customer service skills. * Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.
